A heart touching story. Thought provoking one. It shows how miserable is the society of this war torn country!Originally posted by afg_musafir View Postsalaam afghanian, i welcome myself to your forums and i will tell you a story from back home which i was there six months ago. one early morning i was going to hamam. its like a public washroom. it was very dark and i finally reached hamam. when i got inside there was nobody but one guy on the counter. when he saw me he came out and shook my hand but when he walk back i saw his feet was backwards. i froze for one minute and then run for my life until i came to a solder standing near some building. i said dude i just saw a guy with backward feet, he said like this, then he shewed me his feet which was backward. i screamed and run and came home and hide myself.
Another interesting aspect is HAMAM! It means Afghans still do not have bathrooms, wash rooms and rest rooms at their homes that is why they have to go to public bath rooms or hamams for taking a bath or shower!
I do not think these public bath rooms are clean and hygienic.

It means there is problem of water supply and heating of water problems in cities and villages. We should focus more on such basic civic amenities, municipal services and not on fighting and implementation of Sharia and stuff like that.Originally posted by afg_musafirafghans have bathrooms but in winter its very cold so if you wash yourself in the cold you don't clean very well.
hamam is also cheaper and you can use as much water as you like. its very hygenic because water keeps flowing.

water pipes freeze in winter and providing heat and warm water for an entire family to bathe in at home costs more than paying 10 afghanies per head to go to a warm hamam instead.
