    Aoa, how is everyone doing?

I wanted to see if there were any people on here who were brought up in the west but went back to Pakistan/Afghanistan to study? I'm stuck in the same situation so some guidance would be much appreciated!

    Thanks (:

Why would you go back to study?

I am thinking of getting my Master's overseas. So if anyone can help me as well, I'd appreciate that.

          WaS.

Now where are you (in the west)?
Since leaving home, I have done the refugee trail, and I am fortunate I picked up my education for all the privileges it offers.
As a nationalist, I (now in rose tinted hind-sight) wish I had a degree from Kandahar or Kabul. even with out the priveleges I wish i had a degree from Afghanistan.
so I am wondering what drives you to study in your country.

^ Perhaps he is getting married there? Or he thinks it's a more suitable environment for him? Or it's cheaper? Or any other reason.

Why on earth would someone, who's raised in the west, come to Afghanistan or Pakistan to study? And, if would do so then to study what?

unfortunately, afghanistan's educational system is not as compatible with the west as pakistan's. i know of a few people who have chosen to do that. it's not as expensive as it would be in the west but you have to be able to cope well with staying away from your parents and not having to deal with the stress of staying with whoever you choose to stay with. you will have to learn to blend in with the crowd there...
from what i have known, these people graduate from there and then come back to the west and challenge their programs. they go in for some sort of a special exam and depending on how well they do, they will be able to continue or attain a degree of some sort in the west.

I second with Joey. Perhaps she met a Pashtun man online or somewhere and wants to get closer to him by studying abroad? Lol who knows.
