But about which paradise on earth are you talking about? Last time when I visited Swat it was like a desert of Africa.

On all the mountains of Swat from Landakey(starting point of Swat) till Pateh pur, bara bandai, kukarai, tal dardyal, shamozai, kabal, kanju etc you do not see a single tree.

Deforestation has played a havoc with this paradise of the past. Beyond Kalam, gat puechar, sakhra you may find green mountains. How can you imagine a paradise without trees on its mountains!

True, the places you mentioned are free from trees. govt is doing nothing for the trees implatation and for the prevention of deforestation. in wali e swat era, cutting off a single tree was a crime. even one could not get a hive of honey made by bees in a tree.

What Pashtuns of Swat as community are doing to save Swat from desertification, deforestation,soil erosion, water and air pollution?

Why always we expect government to do every thing? What about the NGOs working in Swat? What about Swat Jirga ? Why we do not mobilize society not to cut trees and plant new trees on their private land.?

What Forest Department is doing in this regard? Why people of Swat do not come on street and protest against Forest Department? I have heard that till the Forest department does not give its consent and takes its share , people cannot cut trees. What police is doing against timber mafia?

Well people dont care about such big issues. They are more interested more in stupid politics and such gatherings. the issues they will hit their future are never addressed. also timber mafia is involved in this henious crime. people love to have short means of earning. financial situation and high inflation makes people sensless and blind.
