I am a Pakistani who is dying to return one day very soon and get rich using the many resources available there. i will live like a king yet again.
Gadaar for what? just criticizing the country and it's ways? It's you people (elites) who are looting the country and you are calling me Gadaar lol. I always criticize what is wrong, when I find some thing right, I will appreciate it. These days there is hardly any thing good in pakistan to appreciate, everything is corrupt and evil in that country. I am not some blind nationalist who will say how great pakistan is, when it's completely the opposite.

and aren't you the one who said that pakistan should combine back with india lol, how come you're proud pakistani all of a sudden?

You wrote the sentence wrongly with the twist of your mind , it was not made for indian muslims but it were Muslims who snatched this part of land from indians and it got the name of Pakistan where sacred people are living , no matter if the politicians suck !!
But your name and personality is a big question ??!! i think you don't have the courage to write your name here .

Aside from the term 'Pakistani Pashtun/Afghan' being an oxymoron, what we saw here is a typical Pakistani move, as soon as you are asked to think a bit harder, pull out the traitor card followed up by the 'don't question the Holy Banana republic', and the blasphemy card if necessary. I've seen our respected member Karachi defend Pakistan when there is unnecessary criticism, so spare him the nonsensical comments. Remember Pakistanis, it was constructive criticism that made the USA the strongest nation on earth, sole superpower, best universities in the world, most research, best medical schools, best hospitals, I mean think about it and compare them to Pakistani schools that produce parrots who claim they can violate laws of Thermodynamics. The conclusion was that he was a police officer who robbed the country for funds, and I think he is now locked up. While most of you continue to display your 'pride', other nations are owning you inside and out. Continue Pakistani nationalists, or 'lovers' one day you will wake up and don't say you weren't warned. Nuclear power my foot. Blind love at best, you have a monster on hand.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I think merman arooj and shaglay hakim are right to be proud of their pakistan. I am of opinion their pride is in their nation, made up of their fellow citizens, panjabi or baloch, cindhi of pashtun, and it does not mean they are proud of the corrupt individuals, institutions or their indo-phobic complexes.their pride reflects a confidence in themselves. An honourable trait, to accept and show the acceptance of what you are. I know we all despise the corruption, the injustices, the liars and the cheaters, the theives and the oppressors, but that is not a nation. These are traits and people of such low traits, totally different from the love of one self, one's country, one's father and mother. Like the latin proverb, "dolce est decoruum pro ptria est mori", it is indeed honourable and fitting to believe in somethong so much that you are willing to give your proverbial life for it.

In my afghanistan, i share the sense of comradre Abdul Haq espoused, that khazara, tajik, pashtun ow nuristani, we are brothers in one nation (dont drag me into his ISI or CIA entanglement, thats another story). So pakistanis being indian muslims is really meaning less, they are indeed muslims who managed to be recipients of the windfall, the land. What is unfortunately painted with one brush is their incompetence and mismanagement and other malpractices that people remember them for.

I have more respect for a pakistani who proudly says he is pakistani then someone who says i am british or american just bcz of passport.

There is nothing wrong in having pride in your culture, values etc... I am not criticizing that. however (blind nationalism) is the thing I am against. These pakistani nationalists have done no good to the country, if they were at least helping pakistan to make it a better country, then it would be a different story. Remember these blind nationalists are the same people who usually support the army, ISI, government who have caused so much havoc/killings in the country and neighboring areas. In fact these people do nothing, except support their beloved army and ISI, they dont solve any real problems of the pakistani people, they have no vision at all because they are blinded by their false nationalism. In my eyes a real proud person is some one who go's out of their way to help their fellow citizens in need, they are the ones who make the country a better place and I will certainly appreciate those people.

Indeed, karachi, blind patriotism that does not critically exmines one's pride is a faux pas. To reiterate being patriotic or having national pride is one admirable dimension. Getting confused of what one really is proud of, as you assert, is another manifestation that requires introspection by patriots/nationalist. I know when I say I am a proud afghan or pashtun, I am refering to my nationsal and cultural identity, and not a reference to the accomplishments (or lack of) of my country. The accomplishments are additional supporting acts that reflect progress, development, industry, enterprise, education and cohesiveness of the people. The failings are lack of aforementioned.

National pride has many aspects under one word and one as to be careful and prepared to answer the short comings.

Yes I expect the same from a person who is born and bred in europe holding western passport and beating the drums of rationalism while the reality is quite opposite .
So , you have started supporting your ideas with lies that I appreciate the army or ISI or the corrupt government !! show me a single post where i supported anyone of the three .

^ you are focusing on few individuals, those great few individuals exist in every society and I never said there is any thing wrong to be proud of those individuals. I am not against them and I would support them if I could. However these individuals do not represent the overwhelming pakistani society, which is becoming corrupt and evil to the bone. There is hardly any thing good left in that country anymore, whenever I visit that country I feel sick and I feel sorry for the few good individuals left there, I hope they themselves dont become part of the evil/corrupt system there, the whole society is degrading in every possible way and that is nothing to be proud off. If Pakistanis were willing to standup and change their country for the better, then trust me every pakistani whether in and out of the country will be proud, but unfortunately most pakistanis are sleeping or dead human beings

My brother if by thinking harder you mean critisizing and abusing my country and my people left and right then I'm sorry, let my arguments be childish . No nation is perfect It Needs To Be Made Perfect !! and if its own people are pessimistic specially the outsider (like karachi , toramana, and many others) exposing the weak points of their own to other then how can this state rise to the glory of success . They are digging a dark deep ditch for the progress of their own country .
