^nobody kept in tpuch with me via an email except 1 member and she is from the same ends as me so thank you all not!
going to specialisise in Psychiatry... got offers for internal medicine and Family medicine but decided to do psychiatry inshallah with duel accreditation with internal medicine. I told one of my ole consultants who is a geriatrician and he was a bit upset at me not choosing internal medicine so he advised me to merge psychiatry and internal medicine together.... kinda of a good idea seeing as I have already passed MRCP (membership of royal college of physcians) exam part 1.... if I wanna a career in internal medicine I have to take part 2 (which is extreamly hard and has a pass rate of only 30%!) but he says I have what it takes.... besides If i dont like psychiatry bceause Ive passed MRCP part 1 I can jump ship in2 internal medicine or do family medicine.... if I did internal medicine Id subspecilaise in oncology :P

Yeah many doctors choose internal medicine or Family practice. Me, i am just a children lover, i want to do Pediatric Care....at first i was thinking Cardiology, but hey, who says you cant do both right :P Do what you have the most passion in, that makes your career worth while.


btw, if its not a problem...you should get your username back, that way everyone else recognizes you

oh ok... well yea im glad to be back... peads is good but sick kids and me dont mix... besides while in the emergency department Ive seen an "alert" call for a kid and it wasnt nice,,, I cant imagine myself doing CPR on a kid, 2 distrubing

Yeah...like i said, do what you love the most. I have always wanted to go and work in Afghanistan after medical school.....if that works out for me and it is what Allah (SWT) has in store for me, then i will do OB/GYN. But until then, my choice is Pediatric Care...i am going to start doing my foreshadowing again after Ramadan, inshallah.
