                Hi,

                Welcome to our community.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                -Ferishta, 1560–1620

                    Thanks brother

I will ask him why he hates us Peshoris. We call ourselves Pakhtuns [being part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and are proud of it. It is just being called Pakistanis that makes us ashamed. I think he might be confusing us with Punjabis. They are hated all over Pakistan specially the ones in army and bureoucracy due to being crooked nature.
                    Thanks again for welcoming.

Sta dera manana. I am already feeling a part of the PF family. I appreciate how Pakhtuns are becoming politically conscious about their future, their miserbale status in Pakistan and the well being of their motherland Afghanistan. It was Pukhtuns only who gave us a helping hand and suffered with us in Peshawar when the Pakistani intelligence agencies were detonating bombs and killing our people. The pro-ISI Talibans were killing us and there was no one to help us except our fellow Pashtun brothers.

                          Potohari brother
I am a great fan of Potoharis. They have fought the invaders after Pakhtuns' resistence. I think there should be a seperate province for the Potoharis like that of Seraikis. That way the Majhas, the Potoharis and the Seraikis will have their proportional presentation and participation in the govt in a a proper and formal way and would be able to safeguard their rights in Pakistan which are otherwise jeopardised by the Politicians of GT Road and the GHQ.

I am from Pekhawar and many of these people here think we hate them but the reason is we have seen the torture.

                            Afridi brother

I am happy that you corroborated my impression and view . We have gone through hell in this so called Islamic republic which in reality in an army-owned state. We dont have an army for our country , the army has our country for them. No amount of words can express the hatred of Pakhtuns and inhabitants of Pakhtunkhwa for the Pakistan army for their killer and mercenry role.

Thats nice to hear, I'm a major fan of Hindkos and Seraikis too..we originally came from Mianwali city quite a while back so some of my family can speak seraiki. My Great grandad from paternal side was pakhtun too. So I got best of both worlds!

I totally agree, as a matter of fact some centuries ago potohar was connected with the original Kashmir hence why we have some mountains in our regions too. Although Hindko, Seraiki and Potohari fall under the family of "Punjabi" I don't agree with it, Seraikis are way better people than the normal punjabis. GT road goes right through my small town in Gujarkhan.

Its nice to see someone with quite a bit of knowledge masha allah..keep it up!

                                Dear sister Jasmine

Thanks for the warm welcome. You may ask whatever you want on any topic and we would share our bits of information.

We in Peshawar are among the affectees. So just good wishes and intellectualisation of events by any Pakistani man or woman ,no matter how much sincere or patriot he or she might be, is not healing our wounds. The only sigh of relief for us and other oppressed masses in Pakistan who have fallen prey to the vested interests of our Pakistani army generals' private agendas is the change in their policy towards Pakistan and specially towards Pakhtuns across the durand line ,which seems difficult as it will not satiate their greedy souls crying for more and more..
