    Salam Alaykum

I agree with what brother Ghundal said.

I could have been a great writer or a great philosopher if I wanted but I choosed to be a Mathematician because I did not wanted to soil my mind with filthy man-made concepts from potentially evil minds.

I hope you won't fall into degeneracy like so many writers before you did with fiction books.

I have nothing against you, just fear Allah SWT and don't cross the line.

Writers generally don't have choice. If they don't include enough violence and sensationalism in their book their publishers force them to include it. Writers would more than ever want to have more control over what they are writing. But of course the publishers arm wrangling them also have to be taken into account. Not to offend my publishers here. :D

I will try to take your advice to heart.

        haviZsultan,
I wouldn't like it if an admin was snooping on me, behind my back, so I tend to apply the same policy to all. I prefer to ask, if I am curious, for obvious reasons -- not because there is a suspicion. When there is a breach of rules, for banning/investigation purposes, I might check out where the user is posting from. Aside from that, it's just not my style. We are grown, and mature, and I don't see why I can't ask you where your from vis-a-vis looking it up behind your back. Weird logic, might not make sense -- but it makes ethical sense to me.

Any who, I'm glad you're here and I'll try my level best to support and assist you.

        Welcome once again.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

It isn't like horrible. Just added things that make it barely readable for the Western reader. Not too proud of it.

          Again judging people.
i think people are interested in pakistan, afghanistan and curious about muslims, in the west anyway.
i personally appreciate very good studies of each character within a novel.
attractive title and cover also for the sales pitch.
you should no way be putting forth a product you are not too proud of.

Spreading hatred and lies and making war between people is a crime.

People are curious about Muslims and Pakistanis and Afghans. The War on Terror is in focus. That's something I as a writer need to cache in on. Marketing is also an aim for an author.

People often blame the writer for his end product. What they should blame is the mindset, the people. The prostitute isn't the worst person out there. She's forced to do what she has to do out of desperation and poverty. What about the people that come to her. Go after the people who go after prostitutes and you've finished off prostitution, go after the prostitute and you'll soon have thousands of other prostitutes for the one you get in jail.

Idea is if you hate sensationalism and violence you have to eradicate the market, the demand that favors it. Not the author. Of course thats taking into account you can't force anyone to do anything. The author has no authority in this regard. He has to feed himself and make a living.

And I didn't say I am not proud of the product. Just not proud of some things I wrote within the book as they are not amongst my cultural norms. But overall I am quite happy about the way things are turning out. I am very proud of the book, even though the book is not complete yet. I believe I am doing a service to my country and destroying the myth that Pashtuns are all terrorists or terrorist sympathizers and not victims.

                Exactly.

Goes very well for the Taliban militants who are bombing and killing Afghan and Pakistani civilians daily doesn't it?

                The Prophet said:
"Whoever kills a person [unjustly]…it is as though he has killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved all mankind." (Qur’an, 5:32)

I understand. You are into ethics. I guess its a question of how much control you want to exercise over your site vs how much freedom you like to give your site guests.

I am more towards the control side. I prefer to know who moves around my site. That way I can target my articles and blogposts to my audience or the audience that is most likely to listen better.

But your logic is not flawed but quite noble. Very chivalrous of you.

And thanks for your support. As I said my books acceptance by, and support from Pashtuns is critical to this projects success. Though I know sales to Western readers are important I consider Pashtuns to be my primary market segment.

This is from the Quran not the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him ) said.

                      And its complete as following

Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption [done] in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And our messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors.

Resisting is not slaying of just people.
