Well, my name is Khan, and I live in tha UK. I'm originally from Pakistan, and from attock, village Waisa. You history buffs probably know about attock, and tha war with tha sikhs in tha early 1800's. I must b honest, I don't know alot about our pakhtun history, and I'm eager to learn. I'm a serious person, but one who also likes to have a joke now and then. I joined this site to show my love for my pakhtun people, and also to clear tha hate between tha pakhtuns from pakistan and afghanistan. I read some things I was not very happy about, and I feel Pakhtuns from both sides look down on one another. I am a straight talker, and there will be no if's and buts with me. I hope I am welcome here, and I hope I can create better relations between my great pakhtun brothers and sisters all around the world. You will be hearing much from me INSHA ALLAH, as my nation is very dear to my heart, and esp with the current situation in my country, and in our mother land Afghanistan. PEACE

WelcomeEven Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Thank you wrorano. Also, if this site is about pakhtuns, then spare a little time for your brothers across tha durrand line from time to time. All I seem to see is Afganistan, but more of your brothers and sisters are across the border, so please remember us as well. We cry 4 our pakhtuns across tha borders. We cry 4 our pakhtuns in waziristan. This is not a Pakistan or Afghanistan problem that we (Pakhtuns) are gettin bombed out of existence, this is a shaitaan problem. Our leaders (Both leaders) are puppets of tha Americans, and r committing many atrocities to please their masters and remain in power. PEACE

I was checking gazetteer of attock 1903, all of the pashtuns in attock at that time were speaking pashto...why they lost pashto during 100 years span?Originally posted by KHANVICT KAKA KHEL View PostManana wror. I don't know Luffy, but it does make me sad. Who knows, in another 100 years, my people could forget the language. It is true, as time is going by, the language is being spoken less and less. I guess, because Pashto is one of the hardest languages to learn, that we have to learn the language of tha other inhabitants, and gradually start using it more and more. I don't know how exactly it happens, and the only way to know, is to have gone through it personally. PEACEOriginally posted by Luffy View PostBy the way what exactly happened in attock? Sorry to break the ice my friend but the problem we us Pashtuns is not due to leaders being puppets of America. As a matter of fact its because Pakistan used Saudi and American funds to radicalise the Pashtun people to 1)fight the soviets 2) to keep as many Islamists as possible to fight India.
Todays situation has roots back from the 70's and Pakistan played the biggest role in that.
