Soldat_Amir, your Russian language skills are questionable. I'm only probably intermediate or less in Russian but can spot many mistakes. I think I read somewhere on here you claim to have served in Spetsnaz. Am I correct on that? If I am then how did you possibly communicate with Russians when you can barely introduce yourself properly? If I'm wrong, forget that question. This isn't intended as anything personal at you, I'm genuinelly curious.
    Zapad GRU, under the kekeviskys!

and people can speak broken English in Chechnya.

    Communication was no problem.

I actually when with a whole group of many people, especially those with Sufi leanings.

Anyway, how come you know many Chechens? are you an Islamist?

Actually in Russia there are many local people who do not speak Russian well too!
Dear Khushal, if You meet some village police from a highmountain village his mother tongue surely won't be russian and his Russian won't be perfect.
But still they work in the police and army.

You have lived in Russia, English is widely spoken but not written. Plus in Chechnya, there is alot of influence from the west such as sports, music and movies, people catch up on English.

Foreigners are permitted to join the Russian army, the ministery of defence has allowed it some years ago.

Yes I have lived in Russia, close to Chechny, but not in Chechnya.
Well what to say - English gets more and more diffusion thats true, Younger people know english on a good level.
Older people mostly know german as foreign language.
I know that the ministry of defence takes foreigners , I can confirm that!
After Russias independence they tried also to invite Caucasians that left after revolution to come back to their homes, I know some Adygeans from Turkey who returned to Adygea.

Some people get the wrong picture of Russia. Russia is a multi national country and a very good friend to have in these times. Russia has 22 million Russian Muslims living there, Putin has recently made the biggest mosque in Europe in Gronzy for his Muslim Citizens.

I can recall how Chechen women would throw flowers in the second chechen war told to me by the people there, i saw it on videos and pictures. Most of the rebels changed side once they realised they were fighting for Western/Arab interests, I saw a presentation before being dispatched of how respectible elders were hanged in public by Saudi/Turkish Militants.

I also know, how Muslim women would work so hard growing produce to feed the Russian soldiers fighting the Germans during world war 2. These things are never shown on Western Media, all we see are criminal skinheads attacking everyone including White Russians.

FSB have said many times, these Skinheads are a tool of the West to divide Russia and destroy its tourism.

If Afghanistan fails, I would proudly return to Russia, and become part of Russian society, its the only hope for the east to prosper.

Russia is not like the West, its a different society and a completely different place.

Cure yourself of Jihadi propaganda. If Russia falls, the West will take over the world, and you will regret it.

No I could never learn Chechen because of lack of learning material, Russian is a major language so material is everywhere. I was technically in "Russia" years ago. Mostly in Vedenskyi Raion and Nozhay Yurtovskyi, South-East Chechnya. Once we went all the way into North Ossetiya. But I've never been outside the Caucasus.

                              ArevaPasht Khan,

I have heard Osettic is very similar to Pashto. Please elaborate, if you can.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                              -Ferishta, 1560–1620
