        Thank you Faye .

The events in Libya shows you what happens when the majority of people clap and cheer for the wrong president for years... Thanks to Allah this president (Mu'ammar Algaddafi) is no longer the ruler , around 30 thousand people have died (read somewhere they are more than that) and killing one Muslim is bad enough ... but in sha'a Allah we see a new Libya very soon , those who died did not die in vain by Allah's willing .

First of all , in sha'a Allah you're fine and always will be .

I found out about this forum as I was googling , I'm Mohannad Azzuz , born in 1983. from Libya, currently working in Kuwait . Previously I was in the United Arab Emirates and during my period over there I got so much interested in the Pashtun/ Pathan culture and met some nice people from there , I also tried to learn Pashto which I love hearing , but due to some reasons I have stopped , but I'm eager to learn it !

So far I have found 3 Afghani channels on our television , RTA , Ariana Afghan and Ariana , but I would love to have a channel fully in Pashto.

I would love to visit both Pakistan (especially Peshawar) and Afghanistan .

welcome to Pashtunforums brother , you will inshallah learn everything about us here .

I'll speak in English for the sake of other people as learning Arabic is important. I studied from a book at first and learnt the grammar, then I spent a year abroad.

It's still not 100% and mainly fushaa....arafta shlon? (as they say in Syria).

                      Ana darast bi-Shaam.

My distant lineage is apparently Pashtun (maybe even Khorasani, which basically means Persian) but more importantly, without going too much in to politics, many Pashtuns helped my people in the 1971 war, and as you say they (rural ones) have an innocence, loyalty and decency which caused them to do that (some even fought on our side).

Anyway that's what a Bangladeshi guy is doing here on a Pashtun site..lol.

                      The other non-Pashtuns/Afghans here are:

                      - Cat Sher (American)
                      - Faye (Australian)
                      - Borgza (Indian)
                      - Maulik (Indian)
                      - Sthek (Indian)
                      - Janana
                      - Bernard White (American).....lol.
                      - ScimitarXEdge (half Yemeni/half Pashtun).

Interesting , I would like to visit The Bengal of India and also Bangladesh, only came to Delhi and Agra when I visited to India few years ago .
It's cool that you know about your history, in Libya many people (I think) care about origins etc... which is bad and good at the same time .

Arabic is a beautiful language , try to watch BBC arabic or any Arabic channel that uses official Arabic , if you need help let me know .

Pashto is also beautiful and I love it. So you speak Bengali or Urdu ?

                          In Bangladesh, we speak Bengali.

I come from the region of Sylhet and the person who bought Islam there (though not the first Muslim) was Yemeni. Sylheti has its own dialect/language, which is what I speak. I am not too strong with standard Bangla.

Borgza can speak Bangla (the Bengali name for our language).

Though I am very pro-Pashtun, I haven't exerted any great effort to improve my Pashto which is several basic phrases.
