    Salam to all

    My name is Ahmad Walid.

I am an Undergraduate student in USA.

Planning to Major in Global Studies and minor in BCMB.

Inshallah planning to enter medical school.

I love Islam and believe it is the solution to our problems.

I am learning about Women's status, equality, rights, etc.. in Islam so that I can learn for myself and to help raise the status of Women in Afghanistan.

I dream about leaving the USA when I am done with my education and spend the rest of my life being a doctor/ medical professor in Ghazni or wherever else I am needed. I never ever want to come to USA or any western country I simply want to help people by keeping them healthy and happy.

Pet Peeves: Many of my university friends and myself have realized that Muslims and Pashtuns don't smile alot. Please brothers it is sunnah to smile, so just smile and look happy it does a lot more good then you think.

        Walaikum Asalaam wrora =)

        Khuday dih kamyaba ka InshaAllah!

Global studies might mean you have to take some courses in a foreign country (might depend on schools), are you or have you already gone to some foreign country yet?

Global Studies in my university is an interdisciplinary field, and everything is taught here in the United States.

                            Welcome aboard Ahmad!
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
