          Oh thanks Khushal. One day here and already learning. To be honest though, my dad was born in Khost and grew up there (and the Pashto that I know, I learned from him), but he never says "kair". Anyway, I'll ask him today. Your story was really funny by the way, lol.

            @ Catya Sher
            I believe my dad travelled to the Soviet Union before the the PDPA came to power. He travelled to Baku and studied there at the University. And he's from Afghanistan.

            @Jasmine
            Unfortunetly I have never been in Khost, but I think I have a good idea of how it's like there. Not a day goes by without my father telling me about the chinar trees in his village and all his friends. I really hope to visit my relatives in Khost and Kabul this summer.

            @ Everybody
            Again, thank you all very much for the warm welcome!

                @ Miakhel
                Thanks for the explanation. Do you live in Khost?

                @Jasmine
                You'll be in Khost? I am so jealous of you! I have wanted to go to Khost for such a long time! I especially want to see my fathers village, my village. To answer your question, I'm a second year law student at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. What do you study?

                  Calm down there miakhel, I did not mean any offense, but I have many khostie friends in khost, and it is more than 4 words. They call their city khast, they call ka bal .. ko bol. I can go on and on.
                  Jasmina, when you go there notice the accent. Its unique and a very beautifull pashto accent.

                    How is the process of attending Law school in Holland? We need Afghan lawyers I'm like so proud of you.
                    You would do that for me? Thank you so much! I am originally from the village of Ismael Khel. I don't know if it's anywhere near to where you will be going, but I would really appreciate it if you made a couple of snaps of the village for me.

                    Law school is going pretty good. If everything goes well, I will be finished in about 2 years. Then a masters degree and I'll be ready for the real world. Atleast, that's what I keep telling myself.

                    You studied Journalism? That's such and interesting field. Where did you study it? And do you work as a journalist now? I bet your whole family is incredibly proud of you, because I know that I as a fellow Pashtun definetly am!

                            How do you like Holland?
                            Maybe if possible, some pictures of the scenery or of the village itself (from faraway.). My father has been there, but he only made pictures of my relatives, not of the village itself.

                            I'm currently busy with my bachelors degree at the Law School. Officially I have another year to go to get my bachelors diploma, but I want to do some extra courses on European Law and a Minor in French and one in Russian.

                            Holland is ok. I have lived here for a long time now, so I'm used to it. But it's not my homeland. And on top of that, it's way too "free" here. Now don't get me wrong: I'm all for giving the people much freedom, but here in the Netherlands they went too far with it. It's practically impossible to walk through Amsterdam or Rotterdam without smelling weed or seeing a sex-shop.
