There's a guy called HinduPashtun here who as his name suggests is a Hindu Pashtun. He claims to be from the Kakar tribe. You might want to check with him.

        Oh right.

THE Hindu Pashtun on the internet must be genuine.

In any case one or two Hindus do exist in Pashtun lands, as do some Sikhs.

That does not prove a Hindu or Sikh ancestry for Pashtuns.

Pashtuns do not have either. Buddhist though, yes.

He does claim to have Pashtun ancestory; as I said from the Kakar tribe. Possible some of the Pashtuns did not convert to Islam? Ever thought about that? And that would be different from most Hindus/Sikhs living in Afghanistan who aren't Pashtun ethnically.

Some Pashtuns converted to Sikhism, and some converted to Hinduism.

They are not relics of the past era.

            They are recent converts.

I want to know whats insulting about what I said. Because to my knowledge, this is what these people do. They worship monkeys, they consider cow to be their mother and rub cow dung on their forehead and do many other things similar to this.

SO why is it insulting to mention this?

There is no such thing as a Hindu/Sikh Pashtun, all Pashtuns are Muslims, be it Sunni or Shia. There maybe a few Hindus and Sikhs that can Speak Pashto, but pashtuns trace their history back till they became muslim and traced back to Qais Abdul Rashid, hence no hindu pashtun.

Guys what would you argue against it? It well established fact that before Islam we were Hindu,Buddhist or Zoroastrian.
but we are Muslim now and even Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) father and family werent muslim so its not a shame to know your past and history.
                  thanks

Almost every Pakistani and now even Afghan online forums are infested with some lunatics form India who have nothing else to do but to remind others, or better say, just to impose a Hindu ancestry on the people of other neighbouring countries. Pashtusn were not Hindus before they converted to Islam and its a fact, but its truethat some practised Bhudism. Those Hindus and Sikhs who are now living in Afghanistan or KP are immigrants from Punjab and the majority settled here in the last 50 years or so. These are some Sikhs living in Khyber agency and have also adopted Afridi as their surname but they were and still are Punjabi immigrants who have been to some extent assimilated in the Pashtun society, but it still doesn't make them real Afridis.

i totally agree with this. I'd add that the Sikhs are either imported during the Sikh reign of terror, or converts trying to get favour.

There is much Buddhist past in pashtun areas. Swat is quite full of Buddhist relics. Hinduism was completely absent from Pashtun areas.

No, The Pashtuns have always bein monosthetic people even before the advent of Islam, why do you think they all excepted Islam so easily almost overnight after Qais Abdul Rasheed came back from visiting the prophet (pbuh). there might have been a minory of people that had the same language as pashtuns and remained budhist but it was the minority.

Id like to add that one of the core things in pashtunwali is you have to be a muslim.

And according to the history, Afghans (the kushan pashtuns) ruled north india for 500 years, Yeptalites/abdalites pashtuns for 150 years, Kabul Shahan for 150 years, Ghaznavids for 150years, Ghorids/Lodhis/Suris pashtuns for 250 years and then Durranis for 40 years. Additionally some of the tribes who didn't come into terms with the rest of the pashtuns in converting to islam fled to India. Don't you think it is enough to conclude.
