Maidan Shahr belongs also to Wardak, it is actually the provincial capital of Wardak. I am from Maidan Shahr and I will become a leader inshallah, so post my picture in some years, ahahaha
Look at the bottom left corner, it is our esteemed leader Mullah Muhammad Omar Akhund (hafizullah), may God protect him!
nice job wardak for putting that picture in there.
my most favourite will be even though i dont know all of them: ustad yaser, mohamad karim khuram, roshanak wardak, ghulam hazrat khan wardak(i dont know about him,but he does look real),and general rahmatullah raufi.
the one i really cant stand is minioster of defense Abdulrahim wardak
this khidr guy is just another ahmad shah masood worshipper trying to cause friction between us pashtuns.
he says mashriqee pashtuns say wardak are not pashtuns, what the hell are you talking about ? no mashriqee will say that unless he is ignorant like all of you goat worshippers.
I think you're right about Khidr: he was too provocative; it really shows crystal clearly here. Why did he divert the whole thread which was about Wardak Leaders anyway?
I would love to talk about Abdul Rahim "General" - yeah sure - Wardak. There was a mini-discussion last summer but it failed to uncover what I would like to about that terribly corrupt man - I FEEL. I don't KNOW the truth, but I knew how he was back in "the good days" - so what about now?
I was always warning anyone who would listen about him.
But Americans fell for him right and left.
Whyyyy... I have wondered, were they so easily taken in by someone with NO SUBSTANCE, a lot of talk.
^ Yes, I will be writing up something about at least one or two. But it's the one I mentioned here which is the striking EXCEPTION.
No one seems to know him or want to tell the truth about this unusual representative of Wardak...!
Here is another Wardak leader, a rare picture from the 1980s
On the far right is Ruhani Wardak, younger brother of Amin and a major commander in his own right. Today he is a prominent figure in Wardak and was at one point elected as Governor of the province. A French observer said he had organized the election himself, thus it was no surprise who won!
One can see he is not too content with whatever the leader of the party with which his family was at that time affiliated has said; neither do the other two figures look too happy.
The far left is that leader of NIFA, Sayyid Pir Ahmad Gailani.
One Wall Street Journal article dubbed Pir Gailani as "the Gucci Guerrilla" - the Gucci part
may have been a little true - but he was not a big fighter.
Hence no doubt Ruhani Wardak and many others chafed under his lackluster leadership.
^ Maidanis are not Wardags by tribe Fahd... They are a mixture or different things such as Amarkheil, Suleimankheil, Stanakzai, Ibrahimkheil, etc. The silly Wardags tend to look down upon them...
By the way Fahd, did you once say that the former Afghan ambassador Sayed rahmatullahi hashemi was Wardag too? I thought i remember you saying that once.
