Unless your last name is Mughal, Chughtai etc. and your first language is Urdu, you are not even vaguely related to the Mughal Empire.

Just because you are Muslim Punjabi - it doesn't mean you can claim North Indian Muslim heritage as your own.

Your emperor is Ranjeet Singh. Your people are the Sikhs, Christian and Hindu Punjabis, Jatts, Cheemas, Awans, Chooras etc.

Yes Lahore was colonized by Mughals but those links have been lost long ago. Hindustanis have Mughlai heritage but not the average Punjabi.

First of all there are no Dardic people. There are Dardic languages. Nobody knows Dardic and call themselves except on forums like these where different ethnicities are labelled Dardic.

I don't know about other ethnicities which you call Dardic. They are as different to us and as close to us like you Pashtoons are. They are our brothers like you are. Being a Chitrali I want to ask you a question?? Whether you people want to be Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluchi, Nooristani, Dardic, Persian, Tajik. etc. Similar is the case with us. I also want the whole Pakistan and Afghanistan to get Chitralized. Thats my wish as I think Chitrali culture and people is the best. Personally I don't find any charm or sophistication in Pashtoon Culture which might intice me to get Pashtoonified or Punjibified (No offense). Though with the passage of time things will change and changing. We are a very small group we wouldn't last long in this world of globalization. I hope you and us all change for the best.
