  • Original Pashtuns and assimilated Pashtuns

Original Pashtuns have tribal affiliation in KP. They being tribally organized are at a primitive stage of social evolution. Assimilated Pashtuns rather took to a sedentary/settled life-style much earlier and, therefore, have an advanced social organization built around professions. They are more skilled, softer, and more cultured. Most of the artisan social classes in KP in fact are assimilated Pashtuns.

+ Assimilated Pashtuns end up being Gul Khans in Pakistan, while persianized in Afghanistan.

Not really. Gul Khani is more prevalent in the heartland of the "original tribal Pashtuns" of FATA. It is also very common in feudal landholders or khanans of the plains of Peshawar Valley because the original/real Pashtuns value power so much and are willing to submit to whoever gives them power.

Assimilated Pashtuns on the other hand are more ideological because of their more refined culture and social organization ... are less likely to think in terms of tribes and clans...their moral notion in politics is "merit" as against the tribal Pashtuns, who seek power and domination. Most of the followers of Bacha Khan were assimilated Pashtuns although leadership positions were held by Khans.

            interesting.

still, i met alot of modernized pashtuns that were gul khans.

ofcourse, you are right, a different brand of modernized pashtuns would be libereal and support Bacha Khan

however the fact remains, 95% of the pukhtuns in the pakistani side of the durand line are Gul Khans. I know this, this is a fact. PTI has so many votes while ANP has very few votes.

Then Mahmood Achakzai, i dont know how much support Balochi pashtuns are giving to pakistan or to him and baloch natioanists.

Gul Khans from Fata? interesting. A Waziri, named Ayesha Gululai was a gul khan, and is she still a gul khan? so i am not sure if she will join Pashtun nationalists after that scandal with Imran Khan's sexual texting and her quitting PTI.

Remember Soldat Amir? A mehsud Pashtun that converted to Russian Orthodox Christianity? I found his wife facebook, his wife also a mehsud pashtun like him. Turned out that the other pashtuns his wife is friends with . Turns out they're all Gul Khans with the pro-Pakistan pro-Imran khan material. Mehsud Pashtuns that were pro-pakistan and pro-imran khan or whoever, maybe some kpk pashtuns too. turns out that Soldat amir might be the black sheep pro-pashtunistan of his family. i even wonder why he got married with his wife when it's very likely she disagreed with him.... i mean, about this. if not her, atleast her in-laws disagreed.

Even though Malala Yousafzai deserves mad respect from our community, She is a Gul Khan because she hasn't even talked about Pashtunistan or the durand line. She's just an apologetic good for nothing.

Every Pashtun mentioned quite well in the mainstream Media is a gul khan except those from Afghanistan, or those that follow Achakzai and Wali Khan.

Pashtunistan won't work land locked in this age is a recipe for disaster, future possible scenario I could see though is Karachi becoming pashtun majority, already 6-7 million pashtuns there and they all have like 5-6 kids so maybe in a few decades Karachi will be a pashtun city.
