As a South Asian observer, It seems to me all cultures, languages, foods, stretching from Eastern Europe to Turkey, to Iran, to Afghanistan, to Dardic areas/Kashmir seem to similar, why is that? I am not saying their same, but they seem to be a extension of one related culture that probably existed in the past. All these areas could actually become one country, just like India for example, which has many different but related cultures

I get what you mean and ive noticed that similarity as well. I guess its the whole common war tornness of the region that can be one factor. Another factor might be how most the people in the region are either iranic or turkic and even if they aint they have some micture of the sort that connects them.
