Do jadoons and tanolis count as pashtun? Ive met some who speak pashto and some who dont but ive always been curious about it. Also ive heard from people that the hindkowans of hazara( or hazaraywal as we call them) are racially pashtun but just forgot the language and stuff. What are yalls view on it?

Jadoon and Gadoon are two pronunciations of the same tribe, its actually written as ږدون in Pashto, not as ګدون or جدون . Some of the Jadoons/Gadoons speak Pashto (in Swabi) and some Hindko (In Abbotabad).....by origin they are Ghurghustis, and are kin of Kakars, Mando Khels, Pannis, Safis etc

Tanolis are not Pashtun/Afghan by roots though they claim that they have migrated from present-day Afghanistan. They obviously have influences of neighboring Pashtun tribes on them and some of their sub-tribes end with -Khel e.g Painda Khel, Khan Khel, Nawab Khel, Mir Dad Khel etc...it appears that its not a tribe but residents of Tanowal valley of Hazara are called Tanolis and some clans of them might have Pashtun roots.
