I can assure you I do not want to be an Indian-I can think of nothing worse. All Pashtuns/Pathans are Afghans ethnically- you didn't make anyone into anything.

Thanks for accepting that Gandharis were indic/hindkowan /Punjabis and pashtuns were not indic.In 11th century AD, Dilazak tribe of Afghans, from Karlanri division, migrated from Eastern Afghanistan and settled in the plain of Peshawar by crossing Khyber pass . The dilazak tribes were the first settlers according to your own history.

Hindkowans of Peshawar city are migrants from Punjab, most of them are Awans and Kashmiris. The descendants of ancient Gandharans, who are found in villages as denizens, have been Pashtunized linguistically.

I have read that the Hoti Khan of Mardan brought thousands of Maratha slaves from Panipat plains after victory in 1761. One way or another, we were always enslaving your race and selling them like commodities.

The wall city of Peshawar was a Mughal military garrison and they obviously did not allow Pashtuns as residents of the city as Pashtuns in the countryside were attacking the fort from time to time. When the city came under rule of Durranis, many Durranis settled within walls. When it came under Sikh rule, it was again flooded with Punjabi migrants. All the villages outside the walls (which are no part of the modern city, e.g Tehkal) were lands of Khalil Pashtuns.
