There is a Hadith about lizards. The companions of the prophet Sal allahu alayhi wasalam prepared a lizard and offered it to him. He refused to eat it because he didn't like eating it, however he did say to them that it is a matter of personal preference and taste. He did allow them to eat lizards.

This Hadith is used in books of fiqh as evidence for many things. One of them is permissibility of eating lizards, second is the etiquets of refusing food which is offered to you.

We, as Afghans have the tendency to force our guests to eat everything we make for them, and we have this absurd politeness where we feel compelled to eat everything in order not to offend our host.

In Islam, we are not suppose to do that. If the food is halal, we still me not like to eat it. There is no harm in refusing food which we don't like.

The problem with Bengali is that he is using prejudices and ignorance to mock Brown skin.

Besides, he is quoting from a hanafi website while he doesn't even accept Sunni jurisprudence because he is a Shiite. On Mastana.net now defunct Mast forums he use to type dozens of pages quoting from Shiite sources to prove that Sunnis are not real Muslims.

Now suddenly on PF he is no longer Shiite but a "Hadith rejecting Sunni".

“Khaalid ibn al-Waleed reported that some grilled lizard meat was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and put in front of him. He stretched out his hand to take some, but one of the people present said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, it is lizard meat,’ so he pulled his hand back. Khaalid ibn al-Waleed asked, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, is lizard haraam?’ He said, ‘No, but it is not known among my people and I cannot face eating it.’ So Khaalid took some of the lizard meat and ate it, whilst the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) looked on.” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 4981, al-Nisaa'i, 4242, and Abu Dawood, 3300).

how about you focus on the elaboration of what you mean by "prepared it" instead of a long lecture on his character as well as skewed moral beliefs?? do you not feel guilty at all?? you grow a 12 inch long beard and you still behave like a 12 year old. is your objective here educating me on something i don't understand or bashing him??

I wouldn't be terribly concerned about Ben_Gay, his spirit is broken and he's lashing out in psychological distress. He went from saying he's ignoring me to having to overcompensate over having Hindu ancestors to "redeem" himself. Most healthy secure people accept what they are and their heritage. It's because I'm aware of Ben_Gay's personal insecurities that a thread like this can send him into seizures.

Eating Lizards is not unheard of in Pashtun culture

Many Kochi tribes also eat Taaz. It's a gigantic fruit fly, an insect. I have some distant relatives in East Kabul who catch them and fry them in oil.
It is considered a delicacy.

Likewise, most Adghans eat cattle animals testicles. Eating animals genitalia is considered as impermissible by many Muslim jurists.
