Post Kushan Pre Islamic Era of Afghanistan.
As you can see the last empire of the Ariana Era was the Hepthalites who had managed to defeat the Sassanids at first but then sadly were overpowered by the Goturks and Sassanids. After the downfall of the Hepthalites their descendentsite the Kabul Shahan, the Ratbels of Zabul and the Sheran of Bamiyan ruled AfghanIstan. However Balkh and Herat were under Persian control.Comment

The post Caliphate Pre Ghaznavid Era of Afghanistan.
First Afghan rulers of the post Caliphate Era were the Siestani Saffarids. Next came the Samanids of Balkh who were originally Zorastrian but then converted to Islam. There was a Pashtun ruler in Ghoristan and the Sulaiman mountains and his name was Qais Abdul Rashid Baba.
Though I don't believe we are Israelites I believe Qais Abdur Rashid Baba did exist.

A brief back round of Ghorids and Suris. As you can see Ghaznavi's mother was Loyak from Zabul that is why he could raise an Afghan army.Comment
