This tribal war and bloodshedd was taking place at the time, in 1556 AD, when at the same time Pashtuns were losing throne of Delhi to mughals again under Humayun. The entire history of Pashtun tribes , is same, fighting and surviving against other fellow pashtun tribes for lands. Those who lost these tribal wars, met the fate like Prangis. Interestingly prangis were sort of royal clan, as ruling Lodhi family of India belonged to this branch but it is evident they had no power or significance in pakhtunkhwa. Similarly Suris were also defeated and expelled from modern day DI Khan along with Prangis even though during same period they were ruling India (from 1540-1556 AD).

You mean Frangi, it doesn't mean foreigner, it means western (exactly the word is derived from French). Foreigner is Khareji in Farsi

Yes same thing i believe, Prangi is probably the pashto variant of Farangi since the letter F is lacking in Pashto. Maybe they were called Prangi's since they were not of Pashtun origin?

                        Just a fruit of thought.
