  • where do pashtuns come from

if you think about it most of the world is related most humans to an extent are distant cousins if you believe adam and eve or evolution

90 000 years ago its said their were only 14 000 people left in the world and extinction almost happened

about 7 000 years ago the estimated population of the world through genetic studies is 2 to 3 million people
to show how small that is the city of new York is 10 million

    using exponential growth

    you have
    2 parents
    4 grandparents
    8 great grand parents
    16 great great grand parents
32 great great great grand parents
64 great great great great grand parents
128 great great great great great grand parents
256 great great great great great great grand parents
512 great great freat great great great great grand parents
1024 great great great great great great great great grand parants

that's going back ten generations if you go back 20 generations you have over a million great grand parents if you go back 30 generations you have a billion great grand parents and all of this is if their was no inbreeding
but of course their was inbreeding
and if you go back 40 generations without inbreeding would lead to 1 trillion great grand parents

but science shows less then 35 billion people have ever walked the earth

shows how closely related everyone is and during the hunter gather stage people would attack and rape each other all the time

so trying to find the origin of the Pashtun is going to be tough cause most of the human race is related

and whats the average generation gap 20 to 30 years today

so every hundred years their is about 3 generations

1000 years their is about 30 generations

and remember with out inbreeding at 30 generations you have a billion great grand parents

and about a 1000 years ago the world population was about 300 million
so the current population of the united states

go back 1400 years that's what 41 generations back and without inbreeding that would lead to 1 trillion great grand parents

but no one has a trillion great grand parents cause their hasn't bin a trillion people to have walked the planet in total

    7 billion people
    45 million Pashtuns
    divide it
and Pashtuns make up 0.60 percent of the world population
about a 1000 years ago their was 300 million people

1 000 years ago their would of bin around 1.5 million Pashtuns

    Theories

    1. They come from the womb
    2. They come from a stork
    3. They come from dirt
    4. They come from water
    5. They come from mud
    6. They come from a confederacy of Rajput Indo-Aryan tribes that got forced assimilated by the Khalifah into a new ethnic group. Pashtuns came from a race similar to Jats and Gujjars but were forced to integrate Arabic values into their culture, we forced to forget sanskrit and learned a Pamiri dialect from Khwarezm in place of Sanskrit and follow Turkic nomadic customs.... Pashtuns have Greek blood from Alexander the Great but it's not that major, they're mostly Rajput....

Dude. You must be Rajput and trying to force that label on to us as well. Please show some sources to this.. maybe there is a common ancestor or something but to say that we are assimilated rajputs is pretty BS and illogical.

The problem with that theory is that it basically ignores all the major tribes that constituded Afghanistan and western Pakistan pre-islam. The ancient native east-Aryans (like bactrians, soghdians, gandaharis, khattaks, parni, saka, avagana, paktas etc.) + other massmigranting tribes like Greek-, Persian-, Parthian-, Kushan/Hephthalite-tribes that inhabited Afghanistan before the islamic conquest have not been accounted for at all into your very narrow explaination. What happended to these 98% of the population? Turned into dust? Try again and try harder!

Btw, pamiri dialect from Khwarezm??! It's not a pamiri-language if it's not a language of the pamir...

From Canaan, the land of god's chosen people - we are the children of Israel, we are Bani Israel, look at our hooked noses, the kepis* we wear on the back of our heads, the star of David on our doors, and look at the patu we wear, its just like a Rabi's shawl!!
Dont be afraid, Bani Israel are ok, because they are mentioned in the Quran!!! That's gotta be legit!

Ok ok who cares!!!!! we dont speak Hebrew or Aramaic and DNA evidence does not link us to the Jews, or other Semites of Palestine, things change in 7000years of being lost and banished to the land of rising sun.

Exactly! We should embrace our Israelite blood as Pashtuns are the children of king Saul, from the tribe of Benjamin, the youngest son of Jacob who was the first king of Israel! Seriously our whole culture is the same, from clothing, to customs. Embrace your identity my andiwals, we are a special people with such a lineage, not a lot of people are gifted with such a lineage!

Pashtuns=The real Hebrew Israelites, not African Americans and not Native Americans!

I'm pretty sure Pashtuns are from Central Asia like all the other Iranian peoples, Western Turkmenistan if I'm not mistaken.

Before Iranic people populated also south Russia and Ukraine. For that reason there are Iranic influences in mythology and language among slavs that cannot be simply explained by belonging both to a language family.

Pashtuns are children of Aryas (Aryans) - whom are native to Afghanistan. Tajiks, Nuristanis and Pashayis are also Aryas (Aryans). Pashtuns are not Jewish, Indian, Turkic or Mongolian.

There isnt a single common ancestral group for all the Pashtuns. Pashtuns are historically a tribal confederation. The members of tribal confederations by nature are not descended from a single ethno-racial stock. Only much later do some tribal confederations eventually coalesce together into a single ethnic group, such as is the case with Pashtuns, Baluch and Kurds.

Other tribal confederations eventually fragment into multiple different groups, particularly large and properly nomadic ones (as opposed to small and semi-nomadic ones like Pashtuns) or become extinct such as those that are smashed in war or are too small to withstand assimilation into other, larger groups.

This type of trend of fragmentation, extinction or mutation of tribal confederations can be seen more in Turkic groups. The only Iranic one that comes to mind which didnt eventually spawn its own ethnic group are the Scythians, who eventually overstretched and fragmented, absorbed many foreign groups into their folds (European and Asian) but eventually were smashed from Europe to Asia by other groups and became extinct, unless you believe that Ossestians are the remnants of the last Scythians which did not get absorbed among Slavs and Turks but managed to evolve into an ethnic group.

As for Pashtuns, the core of the Pashtuns are most likely indigenous to Afghanistan as can be discerned from Pashto language which is a distinct language widely believed to have its roots in southern / south eastern Afghanistan.

Pashto is only distantly related to other "Iranian/Iranic" languages. It is said by some to belong to a sub-group that split off from other Iranian language groups in the 2nd millennium BC, meaning that the root of Pashto language is indigenous to Afghanistan as far back as 2000 BC perhaps (the modern language itself known as Pashto is of course not that old but has evolved from a distinct language sub-group).

The history of nomadism, tribal confederations and emergence of ethnicities from Eastern Europe and the Balkans through Russia, Central Asia and into Western China is very fascinating. Needless to say that the most powerful groupings that eventually emerged and evolved into ethnic groups/nations were Slavic on one side (and Germanic further beyond them) and Turkic on the other. Iranic confederations were largely displaced, absorbed and eventually wiped out in terms of language and identity across the northern Black Sea area and in most of Central Asia even though they were there before the Slavs and Turks and dominated these regions for a couple of millenia at least.
