        Don't know about the strongest part, but yes we are more physically endowed than other communities in India.

            I am not sure if Jatts are related to Pashtuns, but they have certain amount of Central Asian genetic heritage. Scythians, an ancient tribe related to Pashtuns as well, is said to be the progenitors of todays Jatts. Add to that the eating habits and other cultural traits, you get big guys who love to fight. lol..

            Another thing, Jatts Sikhs are ethnically the same as Jatts in Pakistan Punjab. The only difference is that we follow Sikhism, after possibly converting from either Islam or Hinduism, and Pakistani Jatts follow Islam.

                        as an afghan i consider sikh with repect that is due to a brave adversary,
                        because of;

                        their warrior spirit
                        their respect of their faith
                        their pride in their culture
                        their integrity to their people

                        you see how defiantly they hold their religion on their heads and body (the 5 Ks)
                        you see how proudly they stick to their culture
                        you see how they fought for their amritsar temple
                        you see how they initiated the langar for their people
                        you see how they are uniquely identified in india and the world
                        you see how they do not bow to other cultures

                        i respect them for their tenacity to be what they are

                        having said this, don't misunderstand me;
                        my brothers are my muslims

                          In my family history, many of my ancestors were involved in battles against Sikhs, they were sent as a Lashkar by Wazir Akbar Khan to repel the Sikhs who I feel were always cahoots with British imperialism. So I view Sikhs as spineless, Uncle Tom-like degenerates who are only delude themselves with false bravado of a "warrior" culture. In Pashto there are many mataloona about Sikhs. The Sikhs of Afghanistan have always collaborated with Europeans and never fought to defend Afghanistan, but why would they? They identify with Punjab, which is understandable.

                          With that said in my day to day life I don't display animosity towards anyone, Sikh, Ferangi, Angrez or otherwise. In fact if a Sikh spingiray is near by I will call him Kaka or Lala out of respect. However, I will not deny I wish my ancestors completely annihilated Sikhs from the face of the Earth when they had the chance to. I also don't like much of their culture, I feel they just wish they were Pakhtuns.

                          These are my personal views, I don't however advocate that others should share my views because I will admit they are born more out of prejudice than reason or logic and for me I only promote logic and reason as a universal standard. I do think we should not cowtow to Sikhs or try to appease them just because of some Regional political issues.

                            scimitarx, you will note i my last comment about my brothers, the muslims, i reserve brother for pashtun and muslim.

                            i grew up in a culture of hatred of sikhs to the extent of racial bigotry, a consequence of wars between pashtun and sikh ranjit singh pushing to peshawar and then to kabul through our sarobi, then getting pushed back to lahore where he came from.

                            so you are not the only one to feel this dislike of our next door neighbour ancestral enemy. in my kor and dehaat, prejudice of their uncleaniliness, made us (me too) hate sikhs. however i tried to be noble and let hatred due to wars and territorial aggression lay aside, and judge the sikh in terms of advocacy for the devil. however prejudice runs in the blood, i cannot stand the sight of bhangra dancing nor their dhol remixed remixed here and there.

                            i remember seeing the many stone insignia of anglo-sikh regiments along khyber pass, and your reference to sikh allegiance to brits - that's a good reference to and reminder of the sikh spinelessness.
