  • Are most Pashtuns assimilated Rajputs?

Meaning that we came from Rajput clans like how Punjabi people have their clans ,we were Hindu and probably spoke a Sanskrit type of language like an old Punjabi language, we were likely of Kshatriya caste but we became Pashtuns after Islamic invasions and had our language replace to Pashto which is related to an old East Iranian Tajik language. I mean, Pashtuns do look like Rajputs, Punjabis and North Indians but Tajiks look like that too. Tajiks and Pashtuns are lighter on average which is true but are racially the same as North Indians.

I just thought cause someone pointed out alot of Pashtun tribal names that can't be taken for Israelite are taken as coming from ancient vedic clans. The largest tribe of Pashtuns, Sarbans comes from the vedic clan Saryuban but in Pashtun folklore, Sarban was a son of the first Pashtun but may have really been a really prominent Rajput clan, i dont know if related to Jats. I'm pretty sure, Pashtun folklore was changed to suit Islam or have Pashtuns be involved with races mentioned in Quran, Sunnah and the bible (IE Bnai Israel and Indo-Aryans saying they are Sayyeds or Qureshis), like an Iranic dude migrates to meet Muhammad (SAW) to be part of his shahaba.

More evidence is that there used to be a large presence of Hindko-people in Pashto lands and Mahmud Ghaznavi sacked a Hindu Kingdom. A Pashtun told me a mass of Pashtuns were converted to Islam after the sack of some Hindu Kingdom. In Pashtun regions, the Hindko people still kept Hinduism and over time were dwindled to live in the most urban regions in major cities of Pashtun regions. Islamitization and mass assimilation of Rajput Indians to the culture of Pashtuns may have occured.
I'm just saying, it's making me think Punjabi people were more widespread pretty deep into Pashtun and Tajik territories but got mass culturally assimilated in the name of Islam.

    Are Pashtuns a race?

Or are they a homogeneous people?

Answer these two questions, and you will find the answer to what you are looking for.

Pashtuns have nothing to do with rajputs, you are talking non-sense. The remnants of hindus and the converts in KPK were kept as serfs by Afghans/pashtuns
Rajputs are in punjab, along with jats, awans, gujjars etc

I think you should start with a hypothesis, based on empirical evidence, like accurate observations, cogent reasoning and then form your new question, that may be tested.
        As it stands:
what similarities have you observed to make the claim that pashtun may be rajput derivatives?
What observations lead you to claim pashtu being related to tajiki farsi?

Rajput language is similar to hindi,Urdu,Punjabi, saraki etc.

On the other hand Pashto is a different sort of language with having more resemblence with Farsi.

Language can also be considered as a proof of differences.

Related groups usually have related language's

wait, wtf? Two of your questions are asking the same thing

Yes, Pashtuns are a race, and Pashtuns are related to eachother by a common ancestor named Qais Abdur Rashid. We are related to eachother first and form one race, then Tajiks and Punjabis are related to us afterwards....

But Rajputs used to be in Pashtun lands. That's what Hindko or Hindki means in Pashto. My point is, Punjabi people used to be deep in Pashtun regions. Peshawar's center has Rajputs or Hindkowans actually and this is same with other major towns in Pashtun frontiers .... My point is a large portion of Rajputs were forced to make a new race called Pashtuns.

Serfs? I doubt Awans were serfs because they are Sayyeds or Arabian Rajputs and had to be ruling class like most ethnic Bedouin Arab in Islamic times, they had high status in along Pashtun regions where they were a principal tribe in Peshawar, but this can be true for Jats and Gujjars to be serfs LOL.....

I think you need to stop reading wikipedia articles killzai and think for yourself. And your rajputs came from us, not the other way around considering they have stolen tons of cultural aspects from Pashtuns which is typical thievery of Punjabis.

Rajputs are a mix of Iranic people and Dravidians

                  Pashtuns are Iranic.

I was wondering if Pashtuns were Sanskrit speaking and had their language change to a Pamiri dialect after Islamitization?

                      1. I'm not Killzai
                      2. Search up Khyber Pass on the search engine and see his claims on Pashtuns being south Asian.

Rajputs and Pashtuns are practically the same race.... Rajputs are just as Iranic as Pashtuns. Many Rajputs, Jatts and Gujjars used to speak scythian but became sanskritized....

i believe pashtuns have mixed origins.

I believe Pashtuns are aliens from another galaxy which would explain why we are so strong.

                            Pashtuns are super sayians!
