        Great

I have been to Gaju Khan Bazar in Mardan but did not know why this bazar is called Gaju Khan and who was Gaju Khan. Pashtuns need such leaders who lead them into a nation not just hordes of tribes divided in many areas.

At least Pashtuns in Balochistan, FATA and KP in Pakistan must merge in one unit and Pashtuns in Afghanistan should have a greater say in the affairs of Afghanistan as deemed fit in democratic societies.

I agree with gadoonwal, the pashtuns for hundreds of years have said qais exists but the british come along 200 years ago and says he doesn't despite never having met us before then. It never ceases to amaze me how easily some pashtuns are misled by the europeans or just trust them more than there own alleged people.

Qais story was fabricated by khan e jahan lodhi of mughal court, he sent his men to pashtun tribes, collected their histories and connected them with fictional jew who embraced islam at the hands of holy prophet

Yousafzais were once probably the most turbulent Pashtun tribe who engaged in a kind of endless war with Mughals, Sikhs, and later British. What caused a social change in Yousafzai is the canal irrigation system that the British constructed during 19th century.

Ironially, Yousafazais today are the most mild Pashtuns along with possibly a few other tribes among the Pashtun tribes. Of all the Yousafzais, Yousafzais of Sawabi are the best very soft-spoken, hospitable, and warm.

Hmmm, I remember a verse in Khushal Khan's poetry where he calls some subgrouping of Yusufzai "castrated donkeys" -

I assume the Yusufzai you speak of were the ancestors of Manzerah -

Whereas the Paracha-Yusufzai subclan Khushal Khan Baba is writing about was probably trying to advocate the sort of behavior you advocate for these days - bending over and servitude under the guise of development and riches to be gained?

Khushal Baba was a Mughal servant in his early career and was assigned the task of subduing the Yousafzai's and other tribes. In his poetry during that period he has used a much harsh and abusive language for Yousafzai's and other enemies but later when he was put behind the bars by Mughal Emperor and also orders were carried out to arrest his family and bring them to mughal Court. The same Yousafzai's (who have killed Shahbaz Khan(Khushal's father) and of whom heads Khushal and his Mughal army had made a Minaret in Mardan as a revenge), went for his help and give asylum to his family and fought on his side. After that incident Khushal Baba has praised Yousafzais in his poetry and has described this incident cursing himself of siding with the Mughals and killing Yousafzai (I don't remember those verses right now, will look for it and post it here later)
