for those who have call of duty black ops2 there are level in which you can use a pulwar sword

first two are normal pulwar sword
third sword has a pulwar hilt but the blade is probably from a shamshir
        fourth sword is a talwar/tulwar

        pulwar sword

        pahari sword/cobra sword

karud knife {straight} (first) and pesh kabz {curved} (second)

        khyber sword

        ghaznavid spear head

the reason why there are so many afghan swords an knifes is because sword and knifes were for commoners and merchants for their own protection
in the army swords and knifes were always secondary weapons
primary weapons were spears and bows before the gun age

My grandfather had a sword. His nephew sold it to some European collector without our permission.

If you have a well kept sword it can be worth $500 to 1500 depending on quality , buyer and seller
khyber sword might be cheaper because there are very common
