True, I was also referring to the breakdown of Kalash and Burusho people done by Zack on Harrapa project. They all have very high south asian/south indian component in them ranging from 18-25%.
One thing I still have to understand is how much of that South Indian component is actually linked to Ancestral South Indian component (ASI).
Nevertheless less, it does look like that before all the Eurasian population movements in to the area, the region must have dominated by the (ASI) population. This is the only reason one can explain why even people living up in the Hindu Kush have high amounts of this component, because in recent history, there haven't been any major movements of people from South Asia in to the Hindu Kush, at least from known history
No it doesn't you idiot, it just means that afghans brought a lot of slave women from india and started mixing with them which pouluted their gene pool. I shouldn't have ignored Wahe Guru's private messages on how your a fake going on every forum spreading your BS like your doing right now.

Guess he was right.
Please ignore my posts if you dont like them, clearly you are delusional and have no knowledge of how genetics work, I am not even talking about pashtuns in that post, I am talking about Kalash/Burusho people. lol Wahe Guru was the biggest Indian nationalist and you are defending him lol, nice move

You said Afghanistan was occuiped by indians before eurasian people claim and now your clamming chitral and baltistan (khalsah/brusho) was occuiped by ASI? Yeah your definitely not a nationalist with an agenda (insert sarcasam here) and atleast Wahe Guru wasn't clamming pashtuns were related to indians or that skihs invaded Afghanistan. You on the other hand are doing just that and is copy and pasting fraudalent genetic studies without understanding a word of it and then claim to be "knowledgeable" on it lol. Your not even 30, the way you talk has already instigated that, your just a teenage mojhar with an inferioty complex to pashtuns and want to claim them as one of your own.

Stupidity can't be ignored
Where did I use the word "occupy" again saying things that I never said.
ASI existed some10,000 years ago in the region. The west eurasians started coming some 6000-10000 years ago. I have this a 100 times that pashtuns or anybody else in the south/central region isn't Indian, you seem to be ignoring that on purpose. Sharing of genetics components doesn't make one Indian

Says who? you haven't provided any proof of what your are saying other then posting a genetic study that happens to say 19% and cum in your pants to find out that pashtuns banged a lot of indian women during the Mughal days. Your also the same moron who believed in the nazi propaganda that anyone with blonde hair is an Aryan when the actual defeintion is far from that.
Unlike some Pashtuns on here who are still sleeping (Midnight included) i'm awake and won't believe anything that a forigener like you says about Pashtuns.
The 1# rule of the interent= Don't believe everything you hear! Quesiton everything.

Yeah whatever, Midnight has actually submitted his DNA for test unlike you, why dont you submit your dna to some company to know your genetic makeup, it will only cost you around $100. It will prove I or others discussing this topic have no agenda, we are just looking at the spreadsheets provided by these companies who have tested hundreds of ethnic groups in the world

Midnight is mixed with everything and i mean EVERYTHING. So he claims that is. He says he has Jaghori hazara ansectors and Tajik ancestry. A mixed Pashtun like him is never a good example of an average Pashtun. Even if i did get a genetic test and showed i was a bit mixed, it defeintly won't show any ASI admixture and you can bet on that.

Karachi,
The Harappa Project's ASI component does correlate with their own datasets.
It looks like in the article the ancestral components for South India are AC 5 and AC 7, of which, mark a general decline when reaching Afghanistan. I think ASI used by Harappa is equally, if not slightly more diminished when referring to Pashtuns. According to Harappa's data, it reaches about 22.91% and on their autosomal frequency chart, Pashtuns fall in line with Central Asia as they also do with this study. On the current articles charts, Pashtuns show the closest genetic distance with Burosho, Baluch, Turks, Iranians, and a surprising little spike with Lezgian people from Dagestan. To see for yourself, refer to figure S4 on this study. Red marks short genetic distance, and blue marks furthest distance.
FYI, I would also ignore the posts of those who don't minimally understand genetics. They have knee jerk reactions to words like "South Indian" and "South Asia" which they don't understand what that refers to per Harappa Ancestry Project's criteria, and also associate that with Indians, with whom they have bigoted thoughts towards. They also seem to covet a myths about superiority and pure bloods. It's better you simply just ignore it because they will derail this discussion about ancestry and turn it into some sort of conspiracy to deflate their supremacist views.

That's not exactly accurate Kushan.
I'm 6/8 Ghilzai Pashtun, 1/8 Durrani Pashtun, and 1/8th Jaghuri Hazara. My family is huge though over 25 aunts and uncles, and there are people in my family who have married into other ethnic groups.

Turks from Turkey or Turkmenistan? also which specific Iranian groups? I think eastern Iran genetically is actually pretty different from western Iran, which is more influenced by Arabia
Also regarding Lezgian people from Dagestan, the higher caucasian component that is found in pashtuns and other south/central asian groups maybe some kind of connection with that region.
To answer your first question: Turks from Turkey and Turkmenistan. I am referring specifically to Pashtuns in the Afghanistan study. They have separated this study from the Pashtun data they have from previous data with the suffix '_Afg'
To reply back on your second comment, it could be the high Caucasian but it might also because the Lezgian area is part of the proposed first home of the Early Indo-Iranians as proposed by Dienekes and some other anthropologists. They are also near to another Northeastern Iranic speaking tribe, the Ossetians who are thought to be descendants of the Indo-Iranian Sarmatians.
I can have one explanation for the high R1a frequency in Kirghiz and Pashtuns. It is said that Sakas Iranian tribes before establishing a kingdom at Khotan were living in the valley of Chu and Ally from where they were displaced by the Yeuzhi expansion. This is precisely the place where later Kirghiz ethnicity emerged and where today they live.
Then again Sakas were displaced from Khotan and ultimately they ended up in Sakistan. There may be a link there. Pashto is close to Khotanese Saka.
The presence of G2c in Pashtuns can also be explained likewise. The Ashkenazi Jews have partly R1a and partly G2c just like Pashtuns. It is said they had Turkic-Iranic ancestry. They established a Jewish kingdom in early medieval ages in north of Balck Sea. Their kingdom disintegrated later and they were dispersed towards Eastern Rurope to later to emerge as Ashkenazi.
It is possible that part of the Iranian tribes moved towards Caucuses under Turkic-Mangolian pressure to later emerge as Khazars and then Ashkenazis. Part of them moved southwards towards Central Asia and later ended up as Pashtuns.
There has also G2c detected in Burusho. The explanation may be some of the Sakas while moving south into Afghanistan from Khotan crossed the Pamirs on the way mingling with Burushus.
