Its like Chenghez Khan single handly changed haplogroup of so many Afghanis, and their nasal for ever.
Tamil tribals have 26% r1a? really prove it, and this haplogroup is assoicated with Pashtuns so get over it. A lot of indians have it due to rapes by afghans like your ancestors got didn't get spared by our big spheres.

funny how you feel threatned by afghans that your on every thread now.

Nope, its not associated with pashtuns. Its found all over from east europe to south india. Originated somehwere in current day Russia.

"It has also been found in several South Indian Dravidian-speaking Adivasis including the Chenchu (26%) and the Valmikis of Andhra Pradesh and the Kallar of Tamil Nadu suggesting that R1a1 is widespread in Tribal Southern Indians (Kivisild 2003)."

In Afghanistan, R1a1 is found at 51.02% among the Pashtuns who are the largest ethnic group in Afghanistan and 30.36% among the Tajiks. It is less frequent among the Hazaras (6.67%) and the Turkic-speaking Uzbeks (17.65%) (Haber 2012).

In Pakistan it is found at 71% among the Mohanna tribe in Sindh province to the south and 46% among the Baltis of Gilgit-Baltistan to the north (Underhill 2009). Among the Sinhalese of Sri Lanka, 13% were found to be R1a1 positive (Kivisild 2003).

In India, high frequencies of this haplogroup is observed in West Bengal Brahmins (72%)(Sengupta 2005) to the east, Konkanastha Brahmins (48%) (Sengupta 2005) to the west, Khatris (67%)(Underhill 2009) in the north and Iyenger Brahmins (31%)(Sengupta 2005) in the south. It has also been found in several South Indian Dravidian-speaking Adivasis including the Chenchu (26%) and the Valmikis of Andhra Pradesh and the Kallar of Tamil Nadu suggesting that R1a1 is widespread in Tribal Southern Indians (Kivisild 2003).

Btw more of you should get yourselves tested, there's not alot of Pashtuns in the database, the majority being Afghan Pashtuns from Kandahar, I haven't come across a single sample from the southern areas of KPK.

Autosomal DNA is what really matters to understand personal ancestry and racial differentiation between population groups not Y-DNA and mtDNA in isolation.

Unless those southern indians are brahmins, i am not buying it, and the Pashtuns with 50% came from Kabul city ONLY, not all of them in Afghanistan since Pashtuns in general are the highest carriers of it with 77% of Pashtuns being R1a positive. In Pakistan, it drops due to much of the population being Pashtunized so Afghan Pashtuns have not been tested that much due to war and such.

R1a is believed to have come from Central Asia, the Russian steppes theory is pretty weak.

The reason many south asians and afghans included, have R1a1a in high percentage is because of founder effect

R1A1a is not native to south asia, though probably it started to enter south asia prior to the aryan invasions
