what made mongols such great fighters?

They conquered the most territory during their time, streaching from Europe to Japan. look at this map:



how in the world did they establish such a huge empire? despite being a group of nomads.

I am still surprised though that they didn't conquer India, the Delhi Sultanate gave them a good fight I think

You should really watch this documentary. It explains everything about how the Ottomans rose to power. This is unrelated to your thread but it shows how the Ottomans started off as a group of a few people (10 people), that number rose to 400 within a few months and within a year that number went from 400 to 4000 people. Those 4000 people grew more and more and then established their sultanate. If you watch this Documentary you will know how empires were stretched and lands were conquered even when it comes to few nomads. Take a look.

I don't think the Delhi sultanate existed back then and Genghis Khan was defeated by pashtuns in the battle of parwan. They sure gave them a good fight.
