Are we right to call ourselves afghan?

[Khwa]

Are we alright to call ourselves afghan also is one allowed to list ethnicity as pashtun in the uk for uni forms etc

[Badlun]

Afghan is nationality while Pashtun is ethnicity.

Unfortunately before the promulgation of Afghan constitution every Pashtun was Afghan and every Afghan a Pashtun but now calling every Pashtun Afghan or vice versa will be violation of the Afghan constitution and then you have to give the almost 30 million of Pashtuns in Pakistan the nationality of Afghanistan and have to expel the non Pashtuns like Tajiks , Uzbeks from Afghanistan or have to declare them non Afghans.
