    This is really strange!

Actually what should have been their issue you are making it yours. I never feel any problem if any hindkowan from Peshawar claims he is a pashtun/afghans, rather it shows how people take pride in owning our Pashtun/afghan identity.

Let me give you an example. The only true Arabs are historically the people from the Arabian peninsula, i.e., the people from Saudi, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and UAE. The languages of the modern day Iraq and Syria were Aramaic languages and they were never Arabs before the Arab conquest, but after the Arab invasions on Iraq and Syria and there conversion to Islam they also got converted to Arab nation.

Same is the case with egypt. So should it in your view be something objectionable?

We are only skeptic to "generalization" of the name for all the citizens of Afghanistan.
    .

As I proved to you, this generalistion is wide spread in the history of other nations as well, so why we be some different or superior species?

Franky if a Tajik of Afghanistan is called Afghan then I am not comfortable to be called as Afghan but a Pakhtun.
Ijaz saib this has already been discussed that what you call as Tajik, they are not some alien poeple and Tajik is not an ethnicity. You just search the history of the word Tajik or I will provide you with sources. Btw, If my brother is named after you why it should be problem for you.

Forgive me Ijaz saib, but now I believe that like Osho you too just read your own posts and never bother to read some important writings posted by other friends or even don't read those posts thoroughly which are replied in response to your posts. This will only cause the repetition of the same thing again and again.

    regards.

It rather proves that you are clinging to paranoia. Do you really think I should settle down with the hotchpotch and irrelevent replies. I am afraid that this thread could not generate the type of debate which I expected.
Look at your last post and tell me frankly, doesn't it contain odd arguments and opposition just for the sake of opposition?

Pakistan kept on this ridiculing game with us for 63 years ?
In all your replies to my comments you have stressed that why not this in Pakistan and why not that in Pakistan. I in my whole discussion have not defended Pakistan for any thing it has done nor have I even mentioned Pakistan any where. I dont know why are you so obsessed with Pakistan that even you bring Pakistan where it has nothing to do.

I am a proud Afghan and have interest in my name Afghan to be used only for Pashtuns and not for non Pashtuns. This is simple my wish and claim. If you agree with this then ok if not still all right. If one day the politicians of Afghanistan will notice this demand of Pashtuns to change the constitution for repalcing the word Afghan by Afghanistani , then that will be fine if not then I will call my self Afghan and I ll call non Afghans by their respective names with due respect and we should close this chapter here.

Have you the authority to strip me of my historical identity? and give it to a non - Pashtun to suit your political needs.

Does your above post make any sense?

You (like me) are the citizen of Pakhtunkhwa khyber which is part of Pakistan and you complain about the policies of afghanistan that it has stripped you of your historical afghan identity. Is it justified? Isn't it Pakistan which has stripped you of your historical identity? What is afghanistan's fault in all this issue?

Being citizen of a country does not restrict you that you cant analyze, complain ,criticize or comment on the policies of another country otherwise all the people should live in their own islands and may not interfere in some one else domain. Why all the time we talk of the policies of USA or other countries.

If some is Pashtun then she or he is also Afghan and it is not necesary that he or she must be the citizen of Afghanistan for being Afghan. And if an Afghan talks of his name that it should not be given to non Afghans then he or she is fully justified.

If some one has a problem with Pakistan then can also complain or discuss or criticize as it should be in its relevant place.

My post carries sense for sensible persons. Look at your reply, irrelevant and void. Do you deprive an Afghan living in Pakhtunkhwa for having a genuine concern about the mockery being made to his historical name by his fatherland just for political reasons. If you believe in the maxim, " Lar ao Bar Yao Afghan", then I am sorry to tell you that Afghanistan's affairs which have direct bearing on my destiny, identity and name are my own issues and I have genuine reasons to complain and discuss such issues.Btw what reasons you have to discuss such issues pertaining to Afghanistan, when you are living in Pakhtunkhwa like me?

I don't understand what sort of logic will satisfy you. The best thing would be to figure out fallacies, incosistencies and invalid premises in my posts, but, instead, you often pass rash statements that my posts are irrelevant and void of logic. I'll request you to, please, point out those irrelevancies and illogical portions and assertions in any of my posts.

Look, there could be no logical remedy for emotional matters. You feel that extending Afghan nationality to other ethnic groups makes you painful and is tantamount to stripping you of your Afghan identity.

At the same time you also claim that it is a sort of injustice to non Pashto speaking ethnicities to absorb them in a Greater Afghan Millat. I told you that they never had any objection to becoming part of the Greater Afghan Millat because these communities have been there living with Pashtuns/Afghans for centuries on this land.

You simultaneously become the proponent of both groups and create arguments on behalf of both sides. This is like playing the game of chess with oneself.

I don't agree with you on your this assertion or belief and I believe there could be no logical or rational response possible to this issue. This is a purely subjective matter which belongs to your personal likes and dislikes and hence, I think, no one could satisfy you with any sort of logic until you are willing to be convinced.

                  Dear Khyal

There is a member on Afghanforums by the name of Nainanawaz from Afghanistan. He says He is a Pashtun and openly states that Pushto is the language of Tribal people and has no academic value in real sense. He also supports the durrand line and doesnt accept Pashtuns from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

What is the solution for such thing and how can we deal with those in Afghanistan.

                  Kind Regards

I was once on facebook and a pashtun from Wardak who was a fan of Ahmad Shah Masood told me that Be Prepared if you ever dared entered Afghanistan because we Afghans are not Pashtuns,Tajiks etc We are Afghans and called me a Terrorist.

There are people in Afghanistan who oppose Pashtuns in Pakhtunkhwa and also vice versa.

So what will be the solution to dealing with such people?

Just like how Pakistan has rascist people. Take a look at PakistaniWazir who got banned. He was a Maseed and he hated Afghans, Afghanistan also has similar people.

we have to work on integrating them and that is what our respected members Ijaz and Khyaal are trying to do.
Some ISI elements accused me of being him, BLS told me about the Wazir guy but he is not a Maseed. Maseed are not Wazir. We are Mahsud/Maseed and Maseed have brothers on both sides of the imginary line called the Durrand line

I went time and again through your post and believe me I could not find any logic and relevancy. What both group? I am at loss to understand what are you talking about. I never mentioned any injustices to any non-Pashtun group, my dear! Try to read my posts carefully.

Pakistanis call Pashtuns in Afghanistan as Afghanis.

Pathan is just a Hindi word to describe a Pashtun or somebody of Pashtun Origin.

                              Kind Regards

P.S I have heard people say we should not be called Pashtuns but the correct term is Pakhtuns/Pukhtuns.

Its a waste of time determining who is Pashtun or Pathan.

At the end of the day in Pakhtunkhwa we all call ourselves Pashtun or Pukhtun. Hardly any of us say Pathans.

A long story of " Yousaf and Zaleekha" was narrated and look at my desperation, when at the end someone asks, " who Zaleekha was?".
Aseer Jana wrora! go through the First post of this thread and you will find out your replies. I hate to be called a Pathan,it is an indianized name of the Pakhtun, a deregatory one and popularized by advance Indian media and literature. I will love to be called a Pakhtun/Pashtun
