Give it up dude Ghilzai's are NOT turks. I don't know how many times Khushal and other people on here have provided proof for this. They came from the same stock like the Abdalis who were hephalites.

They haven't provided any proof, they scapegoated evidence and gave commentaries which are basically uneducated opinions.

Ghilzais ARE Turks, Coming from the same stock as Abdalis doesn't prove they weren't Turks, Qashqai come from the same stock as the Ghilzais too but they speak Turkic languages. It means you neither understand what a Turk nor what "stock" is.

this mythological narrative which has no historical evidence that you cling to is what backwards is just fallacious and meritless.

I'm not sure, my mom's father is from Al Mukalla and Al-tarim, I don't think there's anyone who knows Al Ghassan, that seems more ancient. My mom's family claimed to be Sharaf, so they say they're Sayyed.

Are you upset that my Turkish ancestors forced you to become Muslim with Sultan Ghaznawi our leader? Hey we rescued you from Iran with the Hotak dynasty.

Actually the Qashqai are a combination of different ethnic groups. You can find arab, kurdish and even pashtuns in Qashqai. Like i said Ghilzai's are not turks and neither were the Hotaks. They don't look Turkic or have any cultural similarities to them. I don't know why Pashtuns praise mahmud of Ghazni so much. He wasn't even Pashtun.

I know what you said but you also think that Qais Abdur Rashid was a real person. LOL You just want to believe Pashtuns are some pure ethnic group which is farcical, the Ghilzai and Turk connections are undeniable.

The haplogroup R1a (Y-DNA) is found at a frequency of 51.02% among the Pashtun people. Paragroup Q-M242 (xMEH2,xM378) (of Haplogroup Q-M242 (Y-DNA)) was found at 16.3% in Pashtuns.[83] Haplogroup Q-M242 is also found at a frequency of more than 50% in the Pashtuns in the Afghan capital of Kabul.[84]
And where does Q-M242 come from?

Haplogroup Q-M242 is one of the two branches of haplogroup P-M45. Haplogroup Q-M242 is believed to have arisen in North Asia approximately 17,000 to 22,000 years ago.[6] It has had multiple origins proposed. Much of the conflict may be attributed to limited sample sizes and early definitions that used a combination of the M242, P36.2, and MEH2 SNPs as defining mutations
Hmmm it is from North Asia! Where the Turks used to reside basically.

And what percentage of Pashtuns are the Ghilzai?
                Ethnologue

According to the Ethnologue Data from Languages of the World, 14th Edition, The Ghilzai speakers of Pashto are 24 % of the national population of Afghanistan.
24% of Afghanistan, what is Afghanistan's population?

                35.32 million (2011)
8.47 Million, in Afghanistan, in Pakistan, there's a lot less, but let's say 1 Million, so 9.47 Million total. NOW What's the total Population of Pashtuns? Approximately 50 million, but I hear many say 60, fine let's use 60 Million

                9.47 million/ 60 million = 15.78% Seee that?!?!?!

How Frequent are the Y-Chromosomal Haplotype Q-M242? Approximately 16% ...15.78 is approximatelty 16%, Same population distribution of the Ghilzai.

I think we have more then enough evidence that you live in denial.

Of course, Us Ghilzai tribes are originally Turks of Central Asia so just like our ancestors we breed Bactrian camels and still retain our Nomadic lifestyle similar to other Turks With our manly strength we helped civil people of of Swat and Peshawar Valley.

There's an explanation for that. Pashtuns actually have the highest frequencies of R1A in the world atleast around 71%. I don't know where you got 50% from but its much more then that. And for Q-m242, that can be traced through a genetic marker. You have to know that Afghanistan was invaded a lot so the contributation of the halogroup Q could have been passed to Pashtuns by genghis khan through his descendants. You also still fail to tell me why Ghilzai's don't look like Hazaras and uzbeks who are also Turkic. Oh since when did Ghilzai's make half of Afghanistan's population? It's actually the abdali's who are still the dominant tribàl confederation. RTR, you can accept the lies about Ghilzai's being barbaric turks or you can go talk to an actual Ghilzai about this. This is exactly what the west wants, to Pashtuns to fight against eachother because of tribal driffences because they know pashtuns fight better together.

Your explaination is wrong since Changiz Khan and Mongol Horde DNA markers are C-M217

According to Family Tree DNA, Genghis Khan is believed to have belonged to Haplogroup C-M217
What you also fail to realize that Turks are not necessarily Mongolid; Turk is a cultural and racial designation, there are Caucasian Turks and Mongol Turks. That's why Khushal's argument was faulty because he kept on pushing the false association of Turk being Mongoloid which is inaccurate.

Indeed even HEPHTALITES were Known to have been TURKIIED and hence became known as Turks. The answer to your question can be explained by the same fact why MUGHALS didn't look Mongoloid.

Males marry the women of those they conquer and eventually generations on their descendants look like Local. I'm not saying Ghilzais are Pure Turk, or Pure anything, JUST NOT Native Pashtuns in origin. Yes Pashtuns intermixed with us by Turks marrying Pashtun women, but the origins of Ghilzais is foreign.

                      Haplogroup distributions in Turkish people

Y chromosome Haplogroup distribution of Turkish people.[5]
According to Cinnioglu et al. (2004), the major components of Y-DNA haplogroups present in Turkey (E3b, G, J, I, L, N, K2, and R1; 94.1%) are shared with European and neighboring Near Eastern populations. Minor share of haplogroups also include those related to Central Asian (C, Q and O; 3.4%), Indian (H, R2; 1.5%) and African (A, E3*, E3a; 1%) affinity.[5]
Some of the percentages identified were:[5]
J2=24% - J2 (M172) Typical of populations of Caucasus, the Near East, Southeast Europe, Southwest Asia with a moderate distribution through much of Central Asia, South Asia.
R1b=14.7% -Typical of Western Europeans, Eurasian People, and typical of Uyghurs in the Central Asia [20][21]
G=10.9% - Typical of people from the Caucasus and to a lesser extent the Middle East.
E1b1b1=10.7% - Typical of people from the Mediterranean
J1=9% - Typical amongst people from the Arabian Peninsula and Dagestan (ranging from 3% from Turks around Konya to 12% in Kurds).
R1a=6.9% - Typical of Central Asian, Caucasus, Altaic people, Eastern Europeans and Indo-Aryan people.
I=5.3% - Typical of Europeans, people from Caucasus, and Balkan populations.
K=4.5% - Typical of Asian populations and Caucasian populations.
L=4.2% - Typical of Indian Subcontinent and Khorasan populations. Found sporadically in the Middle East and the Caucasus.
N=3.8% - Typical of Uralic, Siberian and Altaic populations.
T=2.5% - Typical of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Northeast African and South Asian populations
Q=1.9% - Typical of Northern Altaic populations.
I didn't say Ghilzai make up Half of Afghanistan's population. I said the're 24% and thus 16% of the TOTAL Pashtun population including Afghanistan and Pakistan. This coincides with North Central Asian Marker Q

It;'s not a lie; you're just in denial because you want so badly to fit Pashtuns into your narrow minded understanding of Ethnicity. Learn some science.

                      Asia [edit]
Q-M242 origininated in Asia, and is widely distributed there.[2] It has been reported that Q-M242 is found in the Altai people,[13] India,[14] Tibet,[15] Pakistan,[14] China,[16][17] Vietnam,[18] Mongolia,[19] Tuvans,[20] and Uyghurs.[19] It was found in 9 out of 49 specimens (18%) in a Y-Haplogroup study of Pashtuns in Kabul the Capital of Afghanistan.[21]
Genetics don't lie .....more reliable than your Qais Abdur Rashid, imaginary ancestor nonsense.
