I doubt that you are asking this question with good intention....barkis are non-pashtuns and as you have nasty habit of attacking tribes and origin of members declaring them hindkowans, jat , hindko and what not, i am clearly seeing where you are going with this.........

On the topic i also have a question, what can be the origin of mughal khel branch of your yousafzai tribe?

I can care less. All i know is the Barakzai's have become sellouts to pashto and are the most persianized pashtuns ever. I don't know why they suck up and kiss the asses of Farsiwans and claim to be pashtun when they don't show it. Like that zor khar zahir shah who still called himself a pashtun despite adapting full persian norms.

Well Lofffar Khana, basically, you are a negative if not entirely anti-social character. I asked the question because I think there is some connection between Barak or Baraki or Barki and Barakzai. In my opinion, many Pashtun tribes evolved from the ancient Barakis or Ormar.

I think Mughal Khels are Mughals assimilated into Yousafzais and a number of other Pashtun tribes. In Momands, there is some tribe like Wali Beg Khels or something who are probably a Momand progeny mixed up with Uzbaks and other Turk tribes.

I hate when everyone says that. No turks became pashtun or vice versa. In order to be a pashtun, your tribe HAS to trace descendant to one of qais's sons. Pashtunization doesn't mean you become pashtun, but rather adopting the culture and langaue of pashtuns. You see some tajiks and hazaras who speak pashto fluently but are not considered pashtun because they don't belong to a pashtun tribe. This isn't like the term "Arab" which now refers to as a linguistic term not ethnic.

Barakzais are not related to barkis.
Barakzias are ,,sarbanis,, and belong to the Abdali or durani tribe.
The Barkis speak a specail language like ormaris.
The Barkis are living in south waziristan and parts of logar province.
They are related to karlani tribes.

Also the language of Barkis could be old pashtu.
The historains are searching on that point.

Just because you don't like something or live in horrible denial doesn't make it untrue or disprove it.

You see SOME Tajiks and Hazaras who speak Pashto fluently, and this is recent, within the last 100 -150 years or so. The Assimilation of external ethnic groups to the Pashtun cultural umbrella happened NEARLY 1000 years or so. Quite a LONG period of time for people to remain unassimilated.

Actually funny you mention it; Pashtun IS like more or less a linguistic and cultural group. The DNA of Pashtuns being SO varied in origin demonstrates the different racial make up of Pashtuns. However MOST Pashtuns are connected to some manner of Central Asian Indo-Iranian groups BUT those groups themselves weren't Pashtun, they were heterogenous ethnicities. The Turk-Pashtun connections are undeniable from the time of Mahmoud Ghaznawi. The fact is many Pashtuns are in fact Turks in origin; I am one of them. The word HOTAK is a Turkish word, there is no Pashto root word for Hotak there is a Turkish root word though. This is no coincidence.

The view you have is just a slanted, Cherry Picked and Confirmation Bias contaminated narrative of what you want Pashtuns to be not what they actually are.

I find it hilarious when that individuals on here will discredirt biology, discredit genetics, discredit anthropological and linguistic studies and history; but they'll peddle cultural myths as fact.
