Turkey is regaining its Islamic identity back which makes them powerful and that has nothing to do with Mostafa kamal.Mostafa Kamal was anti Islam.
spare us your typical american insults hurled at afghans. Just because you have grown up in America doesnt mean you have a right to insult Afghans

Great and that has nothing to do with Mostafa Kamal or the seculer ectremist.

Mostafa Kamal isnt reveared by all turks matter of fact he oppressed the Islamic nation and their Islamic aspirations. He was part of a conspiracy to end the Khilafa. To you these must eb reforms but to Muslims it is plain oppression. He banned women with headscarves from attending university,he banned men and women from wearing Islamic clothes and mad them wear western clothes,he turned the grand mosque into a museum and people could enter with shoes on,he made the azan in turkish, changed the alphabet to roman. He wanted turkey to look towards Europe and in this quest they oppressed muslims to appeal to europe.funny thing is many Turks left Turkey and found freedoms in Europe like wearing headscarf at universities.
His reforms were attempts to deislamization of the great Islamic nation.
To achieve all of this a military dictatorship prevailed up until last decade and that military dictatorship worked int he same manner as how pakistani military works, their slogan is to preserve seculerism and oppres Islam.
Turkey is full of all types of unislamic practices.hundreds of men do sexchange everyweek.........etc etc

    Good news though.
Ever since Tayyeb Erdogan and Abdullah Gul took over he jailed the Opressor Generals and now Muslims are free again to do as they please.matter of fact Erdogans wife wear a headscarf

Afghans are great nation no matter what you say about them, you have the typical superiority complex. You seem to have no mercy for the already oppressed and massacred Afghan nation instead you contantly insult them.your insults dont hurt the honourable Afghan nation. We dont want the same military dictatorship supported and financed by your USA.

It will be lying to ourselves to think Afghanistan has improved.that is just a false argument to sell the war and colonisation of the nation which weill follow by exploitation and oppression.

how can you tell all those people under the ground or blown into tiny pieces that their lives have improved. The only people whos lives have improved are those who earned tons of dollars while messing up the country.

Badlun, it's not our place to tell someone what type of clothing should make them comfortable. Some women need jeans to be comfortable in and some cant be comfortable unless they are properly covered. We get to interfere when it becomes an immediate safety issue or in long term. I said, when women are sent to MRI rooms or football fields (as you mentioned), they are limited and its right to have a problem with that. That is not even the Islamic dress code. We want to promote giving people the option to choose for themselves unless they are putting themselves in obvious danger or are walking around completely naked.

And no one is saying that amannullah was perfect. There were pros and cons to what he had to offer and we boycotted lots of goods just because of a few cons that could have been reformed very easily.

turkey is only now in the last decade or so becoming a real player in the region and world because it has slowly tried to drop the atatturk legacy. he was at the right place at the right time during the end of the ottoman empire, turkey had nowhere else to go but up from there considering the circumstances. i don't know the consensus on the atatturk legacy in the country but considering recent voting patterns, the cult icon isn't what he used to be. the kemalists have had their heads spinning wondering how it is a non kemalist and muslim has been able to turn turkey into a strong economic and military force in the last 10 years.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

He knew that dress is very important for movement. How a woman can move freely and participate in economic activities with covered faces and burqas. Men also in loose dress cannot become active. Why we accept paint shirt for army and police but not for other workers!

If you want development then you must have to change the dress code especially for women. Pashtunwali is not in dress or beard. A country which is not rich in natural resources like oil cannot adopt Arabs dress code. Arabs are prosperous because they have oil. We have to work hard both men and women for prosperity.

          what the

while we're at it, we might as well ban all clothing except this, in order to produce maximum efficiency...

times have changed, if you wear regular pants then you are a backwards country bumpkin who is negatively influenced by your backwards culture and/or religion.
