It is the graveyard of empires, it goes with a low currency of afghan blood.
    -------------
Pull out your swords and slay anyone that says Pashtun and Afghan are not one. Arabs know this and so do Romans: Afghans are Pashtuns and Pashtuns are Afghans!

Khushal Khan Khattak (1613–1689) was a prominent Afghan(pashtun) poet, warrior, charismatic personality and tribal chief of the Khattak tribe of the Afghans. He is the first Afghan mentor who presents his theories for the unity of the Afghan resistance against the foreign parts, and the creation of a nation-state.

At least 2 things not mentioned in the first part of the documentary:

      1. In 1839 there was a battle between the brits and afghan troops led by Wazir Akbar Khan. The Afghans were surrounded and the brits offered them to surrender their weapons and the would be allowed to leave without harm. Wazir Akbar Khan accepted and the brits broke the agreement and attacked them killing most of the afghans with Wazir Akbar khan and a few other escaping the onslaught. Wazir Akbar Khan returned the favor to the Brits in 1842.

      2. The speaker didnt mention that the Brits dropped leaflets of Amanalluhs wife pictures all over the country which forced Amanullah to flee.

          Last line is priceless:
"Afghansitan has been for so many men a place of heroism and self sacrafice and
yet in the end all this energy, all this courage was in pursuit of something which is simply wrong."

I really respect our history and our grand fathers by doing such brave fights to make us proud saying we are Afghans.
but to be honest we are not doing such things to make our kids proud of us. in today's time we have war of Education not weapons. we need to make our kids educated in any circumstances so they can take control of our country and keep enemies away from our country with their mind games and education not bullet and guns.
