interesting ....but also a tragic reminder of the impact Soft Power western imperialism has had on Afghanistan, all of Afghanistan's current problems can be traced back to this stage in history, thanks to the spinelessness of our rulers.

^Aren't this peopel the engeneers who built the dam and the water canals in Helamd? How come you make them responsible for today problems, they were asked to do there job by the former king and when the invasion came they left. They were invited by Afghan goverment for development, what most of 3rd world countries do today....

That's not what I was suggesting, that "they" caused the problems; rather it was our rulers cowardice to stand for noble standards that did. These people were merely a symptom of the problem of how we became mentally colonized by Soft Power. It is THIS period in history when Afghanistan's current problems started.

Nice. They had given my grandparents a home in Little America as well, but my grandmother refused because she hated the houses, they were too small compared to her big house in the village side, and she felt caged because of the fences. haha. I'm not sure if it was exactly this place, but a place similar to this. I asked my mom, she doesn't really remember where it was. What's the exact name of this place and which province was it located in?

We had a house there in Little America, next to the hospital of Lashkargah. My father was one of the workers of the Arghandhab River Valley project. My dad still has all his field notes and journal papers they wrote about Helmand. I was born in that hospital in Lashkargah
