very informative article but very dangrious too as it differentiates Afghans and Pathans. sentences like The Afghans, however, are shorter than the Pathans, are strange. In the map Pathans have been shown in the region of Pakistan while all Afghans including Tajiks in Afghanistan except Hazaras.

Another interesting thing is that it has been tried to show Afghans as Nordic race. I did not find no where the word Pashtun.

Jasmine-chan, there are many problems with this article. If I'm not mistaken, it was written by someone during the colonial era with all the pseudo-racial science and prejudices of the time. The measurement bit gives that away.

The head dimensions of the Afghans and Pathans are slightly smaller than those of Nordics....

There are many other discrepancies too:

The Pathan group is divided into two main sub-divisions. One is that of the western Pathans, or Afghans proper, who live in the country which extends from beyond the Iranian border to Jallalabad, and includes the territory of Kabul and the plains of Kandahar. The eastern Pathans occupy the northeastern part of Baluchistan, including the Suleiman Mountain range, and the southern two-thirds of the Northwestern Frontier Province of India. These eastern Pathans include the Pathans proper, the Afridis, the Mohmands, and the Waziris.

All of this has been replaced by modern genetic studies. We had a thread on this in our old "Chai Khaana" forums. Perhaps someone who remembers can shed some more light on this.

^Please Don't ask me about its accuracy. But this seems to be making sense it terms facial connection which we have. I still don't know what the "F" it means by Irano Afghan. But as far as I know Afghan itself is a Race and that being said we are some 70-90 million people Extended from India up to Iran and including some parts of southern European people (Mythical related Afghans such as)
