I checked, these data of 1926 are data from Soviet demographics.
so we have to see now if these are right or wrong.
Differently to Wikipedia in the original text there is written not "Pashtuns" but "Afghans".
Now I ask my self, did they know that Pashtuns are Afghans or meant with Afghan everybody from Afghanistan?
Concerning Badghis, there is a part of Turkmenistan called Badghyz, it is th geograpgical continuation of one mountain range, i meant this part.
I don't know brother, all these demographics and ethnic maps on the internet are confusing and strange.
Same concerns Caucasus, You never get the right data.
The data of 2010 of Turkmenistan I wouldn't even believe, because they are a dictatorship with worst falsifications

I'd like to ask a question - that perhaps is as well interesting to all of You?!

Many times in statistics and ethnical maps on the internet i find that the Pashtun abitation area includes except Afghanistan and Pakistan also some places of Iran(I think mostly south Khorasan or Sistan ?!)
And even sometimes there are pointet on ethnical maps places in Turmenistan.
      Is that true?
And if, how is the connection of those people to other Pashtuns, are there differences in culture?

      With much respect, your Aliq
Kochi Pashtuns used to buy sheep and other goods from Turkmenistan and then trade them in the markets of Mazar, Kabul, and Peshawar. My great great Grandfather used to do this.

Also, Panjdeh, a territory that was part of Afghanistan was illegally taken by the Russians who changed the name to Kushka, and is also known as Gusgy and Serhetabat. It borders the Afghan town of Toraghundi.

Also, Abdur Rahman Khan settled thousands of his Afghan troops in Central Asia after being deposed by his cousin. Only a few of his troops came back with him to Afghanistan to fight for the throne.

Dear Midnightsun, You are as always great on detailed information.
Thank You! I think if it is that way it should be kept in mind as a detail of history.
