Salarzai = Pashtun tribe from KP.Salar = Turkic Muslim people from China. "Salar" is also a common given name among Turic peoples. Salor is basically four... so it means 4 sub tribes.

I am writing a book on the Salarzai. My second book is about them. Apparently the Salarzai have heavily resisted Talibanization in their areas... very much like the Turis. Except Taliban always had trouble controlling Turi areas. They controlled the Salarzai areas well enough however. Faqir Mohammed had full control of their stronghold in Khar.
