Innocent Afghans are the ones really suffering in this war. Its a sad reality.

Perhaps NATO should be more willing to risk its ground troops so that civilian lives are not risked? Airstrikes are usually used to support the ground troops.

NATO know that risking more of its ground troops is suicide, the ground troops that are involved in a fire exchange radio in aircraft strikes on identified targets just after seconds of engagement, they waste a hell of alot of money on using the airforce in fear of the oppositions assaults. Not only this, but these (NATO) ancestors have always had the philosophy of "why put our soldiers on the front line when we can get their own people to die for us" number 1 on the front line is the native people payed to be puppets, despite billions of dollars of investment into years of training and routines they simply just do not have the heart to fight as much as the opposition does. These same people that are fighting NATO are the grandchildren of the people that fought the Russions and the descendants that fought the British in the 1800's, im not saying i vouch for the Taliban but also not ignoring that these people are actual warriors and are ready to die for what they believe in.
