No,No. He was used as a spy, Its an open secret for Kandaharis. In fact, Its common to know he worked for Masood. Now its up to you, If you support Masood, You will support him. If you hate Masood, It would make sense to hate him.

If you only knew the crimes he committed against Pashtuns.....Yet people used to visit his house for help, since he was a tribal elder. Some low-level Taliban were naive enough to think they are his "Friend" In reality, He was a spy for Masood.

@ Jasimine, Mulla Naqibullah was never killed, he died three years ago due to natural causes mainly his long lasting diseases of liver!

@ Sangar, Mulla Naqibullah never was a part,friend or supporter of Taliban.He had surrendered peacefully to them in 1994 and stayed in Kandahar as a respected tribal leader of his tribe unlike other Kandahari warlords who escaped to either Iran or Pakistan after being defeated by Taliban.
I met him on an Eid ul Adha and he personally told me how he didn't like Taliban.

What do you call peace and security? How are the Taliban the best option for Afghansitan?

What of the massacres in Mazar and Bamiyan? The ethnic voilence was norm in the 1990's with Tajiks killing Hazaras, Hazaras killing Pashtuns, Pashtuns killing Hazaras. It was never Pashtun targeted.

He cared for Tajiks more than Pashtums though.

He was not loyal to Tajiks but loyal to the manifesto or agenda of Jammiat e Islami which happens to have majority of Tajik members.
If for say, he cared for Tajiks more than Pashtuns, then he has lost all his dignity at least in my sight as a Pashtun.
