  • Another achievement of ANP. ده اې این پي بله لاس ته راوړنه

Provincial government of Pashtunkhwa has made Pashto mandatory as part of its secondary education curriculum. Not only that, now students will be learning about Pashtun history instead of the history of subcontinent and will be studying Rehman Baba, Khushal Khan Khattak, Ahmed Shah Baba as regional heroes and intellectuals.

i dont find that to be an achievement, more like pathetic that its taken so long.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

If any such agreement ever existed in a documented and signed form! Durand line treaty, initially voided by default after three years holds no legitimacy.

Congratulations to all the spera Pashtana who will now learn about themselves.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

This step would be catastrophic for loy afghanistan dreams. The only superiority that afghans has over lar pashtuns is that they are more aware of pashtun history and identity. They have always used this point to make fun of lar pashtun's pashto. Now afghans cant use this point to alienate lar pashtuns from pakistan.
ANP has done greatest achievement in history of KP but responses to this news are not upto expectations...guess what...i can feel disappointments.

Thats very good news. As long as Ghani Khan and Najibullah are not in the curriculum and Asfandyaar is not enlisted alongside the likes of graan Mir Wais Neka and Ahmad Shah Baba, this will be a good step.

Now the next thing that will be amazing is if they get rid of urdoo out of the curriculum forever.

This is one facet of the Pakistani state construction I still cannot fathom to this day. What is the economic benefit of implementing urdoo? The country's arch enemy is India, where the closest approximation is hindi, and they do not trade. Its not a language of science... was it simply a forced langugae like Hindi was in India (Hindi alongside English comprise India's national languages) to unify the country???

I know Admin Khan says all languages are beautiful, but it hurts the ears when you travel through there and hear: teek taak, Ow jee, mashum bandaay ultee ramatshwa. First time I heard teek taak, I wanted to vomit. And tashakur and manena were replaced by shoookria. Your heart just falls.

^never heard of pashtuns saying "shukria" instead of "manana". Yes teek taak, awo ji and ulti are used...but your "tashakur" is dari and is used by farsiwans.

Pakhtu will be thought as a subject. Now it's upto the board to decide what they want to teach in that book. I don't have that much high hopes let's see .. I am visiting Pekhawar in January so I will inquire about it in detail like how this is going to work.

Or it will be just like the name change of the province. Like my domicile still states that I was born in NWFP this domicile is accepted worldwide and there is no place in the world with the name of NWFP now !! :p

And to add further they better start giving attention to the real problems of the common man !! They better start visiting their constituencies else it's not a hidden secret that they are gonna loose the coming elections with a big margin !! I am cent percent sure about it .. these loosers are gonna loose !!

Good news, ANP finally does what its supposed to do. Their will be more cultural exchanges between lar/bar in pashto in the future when both sides make pashto stronger and the only mode of communication.

Mashallah, this is good news, but they should also focus on islamic teachings and teach our new generation about real islam, because that is the most important thing for a human being to learn and practice in life.

                          ???
I dont think people voted for them to teach them islam.
Islamiyat is compulsory upto graduate level. Various islamic book shops and madrassas are every where. So i dont think our governament has to attend lectures on islam to people.

ANP is not an Islamic party so we don't expect them they will promote any Islamic teachings. They claim to be the Pashtoons' party, we expect from them to do something for promoting pashtunwali, but unfortunately they are doing exactly opposite of what Pashtunwali demands from them. My vote will go into ANP's ballot box if they started work for Pashtunwali.
But let me remind you all, there is no election thing in Pakistan but parties comes in power by selection and you all know who does this selection so my vote or your vote does not make any difference.
