  • Kheshkis or Khshgi Pashtuns

Kheshgis formed an important part of Babar armies that defeated Ibrahim Lodhi at Panipat (India). Ibrahim Lodhi was Pashtun (and so also were Kheshgis) but had lost support of some powerful Pashtun chiefs e.g., Dilawar Khan Lodhi, the governer of Punjab (his grandson Khan Jahan Lodhi commander of Mughal armies during Shah Jehan reign had "Makhzan-i-Afghani compiled which is the first book on Pashtun history and origin).

Kheshgis were a section of the larger Pashtun tribal confederacy called Zamand. At the time of Babur, they were living north of Kabul in Dara-ai-Ghorband (I think it is in close proximity to Hazara areas).

Here I found something about Kheshgis may be not very authentic but still informative compiled by a Kheshgi of Nowshera.

The blog is maintained by one kamil...a Kheshgi from Nowshera.

On this site I found a lecture on Computed Tomography by one Pashtana Noreen Marwat ---senior scientist ---It is good that Pashthanai are turning to hard sciences.

Babur granted them region of kasur as reward for going in war against lodhis. I have read in a book that ibrahim lodhi was beheaded by a pashtun of zamand tribe of babur army.
