This famous Pashtun tribe played a prominent role in Indian history---but now no where can be found as a tribe---The first Muslim ruler of Multan for example was a Lodhi whose name was Nasar Lodhi---Then you have the Lodhi dynasty not to mention many famous personalities and regional rulers during Mughal era including Jehangir's general Khan Jahan Lodhi on whose orders the first specific book -i.e., Makhzani Afghani-on Pashtun origin and history was compiled.
Nevertheless, they have disappeared from history as a tribe...some couple of years back I met a person from Baghdada Mardan and he told me he is a Lodhi--When I asked him are there other Lodhis there as well--he told me there are few other families---
In fact I have some lodhi relatives but they are isolated families...
