  • Afghan culture = Pashtun culture

Afghan culture is the same as Pashtun culture because Afghan is ethnonym for Pashtun and in Pashto we call it Pashtunwali but culture of Afghanistan is the combination of Pashtun/Afghan culture and the culture of other nationalities like Tajik, Uzbek , Hazara , Turkemen etc.

And ghairat or culture is not the only name of girls or honor of women. First men are not the guarantee or only guards of the honor of women. Women themselves can also take care of their honor and the honor of women should not be the only focus of Pashtunwali or the culture of Pashtuns.

Culture is not ghairat but its excellence of taste in the fine arts and humanities, also known as high culture and is an integrated pattern of human knowledge, belief, and behavior that depends upon the capacity for symbolic thought and social learning and which shows the set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution, organization, or group in this case Pashtuns.

i find the pashtun culture whole lot more different than other cultures in a very unique way but i don't think other afghans are "beghairats" for having their own idea of what a culture ought to be because the majority of afghans are self proclaimed muslims and people who claim to be muslims often have similar values and their cultures are their attempt at reaching up to those values the best way possible.
further more, "ghairat" is alot more than just a word. if you think non pashtuns, afghans or punjabies (for that matter) are "beghairats" because they don't get offended when their women are spoken of in a negative way than you obviously have had your head buried in the sand all your life. when i say "sand" i mean a pile of ignorance along with a fake sense of pride in yourself which you have drowned yourself in with the help of the lousy douchebags you came across in the course of you entire your lifetime because i highly doubt that every non pashtun/afghan that you have came across happened to lack culture or a basic sense of decency.
"ghairat" is not going to do you any good if you don't have the mental capacity to differentiate between right and wrong. suppose you had "ghairat" (which translates to a moral sense of decency) but you were this annoying little misbegotten that went around making ****ty claims and assumptions by judging people you had never seen, met or had the pleasure of understanding and you were claiming to be a "pashtun", you would be giving out this very negative impression of every other pashtun out there based on what they know of you.....before we know it, we have a nation of **** heads like you who are going about, doing their own ****headed things, putting the word "culture" and "ghairait" to shame.

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

I judged you for being silly arrogant and insensitive not based on what you speak or where you come from. *I didn't tell you where to go. You did that to me.*
Most of the time that I spent in Afghanistan was amongst Tajiks in Kabul. Not once was I ever *treating wrong for being a pashtu speaker. No matter where I went, I have always had people ask me about pashtu and Pashtuns in a positive way.*
You tell people they don't have class or culture. They are not going to turn , bow to you and thank you for it.*
I dont want to continue this conversation. Everything i said to you in my previous post went over your head. It's selfish people like you with your me me me attitude who are to be held responsible for the ruins that that county has turned into. There is no hope for your type. People like you from all sides be that Pashtun Tajik or hazara need to be piled up in a nice little pile and then set on fire.

What is your point, I just don't know what you want or what is it that makes you think that only pashtuns are Afghans. Yes in the begining only Pashtun were refered as Afghans but times have changed, now we have, Afghan Tajiks, Afghan Hazaras, Afghan Uzbak. Afghan is now a nationality not just an ethnic group like it used to be. So there culture is also considered as afghan.

Depends on context of the word "Afghan".

If you mean by "Afghan" as in nationality then Afghan culture is the culture of whole of Afghanistan but if you mean "Afghan" as in ethnicity then, yes afghan = pashtun culture. very simples.
