    • Any Kurds on this site?

      Kurds:

      Atlantic Mediterranean = 4.6%
      South Asian = 2.2%
      West Central Asian = 24.3%
      Baltic = 4.8%
      West African = 0.5%
      Caucasus = 39.2%
      South West Asian = 22.4%
      North Asian = 0.6%
      East Asian = 0.8%
      South east Asian = 0.6%
      East African = 0.1%

      ^ I am surprised by the high south west asian in Kurds, despite being Iranic speakers they are clearly also related to arabs from arabian peninsula

      • Iranians : I believe these samples were mostly collected from the vicinity of Tehran, since Iran is a big country these samples probably dont apply to all Iranians, just the ones who live around Tehran:

        Iranians:

        Atlantic Mediterranean = 4.3%
        South Asian = 5%
        West Central Asian = 25.6%
        Baltic = 2.9%
        West African = 1.3%
        Caucasus = 33.6%
        South West Asian = 24.1%
        North Asian = 0.9%
        East Asian = 1%
        South east Asian = 0.4%
        East African = 0.1%

        ^ as you can see, even Iranians have a lot of south west asian (arab genes) in them at 24%

        • Saudis:

          Atlantic Mediterranean = 1.3%
          South Asian = 0.9%
          West Central Asian = 11.7%
          Baltic = 1.2%
          West African = 0.7%
          Caucasus = 10.6%
          South West Asian = 68.7%
          North Asian = 0.2%
          East Asian = 0.1%
          South east Asian = 0.2%
          East African = 4.5%

          ^ saudis are largely what they are, south west asian at close to 69%

          • Can you give me the samples for tamils, bengalis, U.P, biharis ?

            It is very interesting, sindhis are west central asians people, i didn't know that, this is hilarious

            • As you said, karachi, some sindhis were mixed with baloch people

              We can say the same for pakistani punjabis, they were mixed with the hindkowans and the pashtuns due to the inter-marrying and the fact that some pashtuns settled in punjab and hindkowans live in the frontier between punjab and khyber pakhtunkhwa
              .

                  I don't hate sindhis , you idiot , i like them, i consider them as the brothers of punjabis, there isn't any differences between sindhis and punjabis, one thing is sure : mohajir are not welcomed by all the sindhis , karachi belongs to sindhis, like lahore belongs to punjabis, samjhey ?

                    I think that the most mixable groups in Pakistan are the mohajirs and the punjabis and many inter-marriages between these groups have taken place. I have heard of some marriages between Hindko speakers and Punjabis as well. There have also been Baloch-Pashtun marriages in Balochistan.

                    Generally however each group marries within its own community which isn't very conducive for creating a sense of bonding and unity. I mean I have seen many Afghans marry between Tajik and Pashtuns but I have rarely seen it among us Pakistanis.

                    I can attribute it to the ideal of marrying within family which still holds within some conservative, traditional houses. It will be long before these identity barriers totally break down (Ie people stop caring they are marrying Sindhi, Pathan or someone else.) I mean if we haven't moved away from the family stage, how can we think about inter-marriages between race.

                    • Karachi, this must be in some report or presentation. Can you send me this report my friend? I have a tendency to collect such statistics.

                      This is interesting information though I have trouble understanding it. Perhaps you could tell us what all those terms mean. East Asian must be Chinese, Japanese. Whats west central asian. Isn't that supposed to be Uzbekistan, Tajikistan etc?

                      And Bharati Karachi is for everyone. We aren't being racist then why are you even though you aren't even from here. Sindhis, Balochs, Mohajirs and Pashtuns (and anyone else left out) should all work together to improve Karachi and give it its cultural flavor.

                      And inter marry among ethnic groups too, instead of just marrying cousins...

                      • it's part of the eurogenes project, I got the spread sheet from there, they are testing many ethnic groups through out the world: http://bga101.blogspot.ca/

                        This is the main website: http://www.eurogene.eu/

                        also the west central asian is a genetic component centered in balochistan, and eastern Iran, It's a very old component. I think they are still studying where it originally came from, but most likely it's origins are in the northern middle east area. the rest like south asian, east asian etc... they are what there. South asian is a component out of India, east asian is obviously chinese, korean etc...

                          Interesting study but the samples are small. How comes there is quite a large sample of people from Baluchistan in the study?

                          So Baloch are heavily "West Central Asians" according to this result. Followed by Sindhis and then maybe Pashtuns? And those five Punjabis?

                          Which others are quite high as West Central Asians?

                          If I am reading the spreadsheet correctly, its people like Brahmins and even some South Indian groups? And Baloch are not known to have intermarried with such groups? Even in England & Scotland there seem to be quite a bit of West Central Asians - considering the distance and no such mixing known?

                          • Eastern Iranians and afghans groups are not in the spreadsheet, mostly likely it will be them who have the second most of this component. The other south asian groups in India usually have any where from 20-30% on average. This component is not of south asian origin, but it is very old, that's why it affected such a large groups of people, stretching from all the way from Europe, all the way to Sri Lanka

                              pashtuns are a mix of afroasiatics, mongoloids and caucasians speaking an indo-aryanic language. end of discussion.
