Allahu akbar Allahu akbar they destroyed this the
Reply of the soldiers of Islam to this :

Mullah Omar (hz) in his own words : I did not want to destroy the Bamiyan Buddha. In fact, some foreigners came to me and said they would like to conduct the repair work of the Bamiyan Buddha that had been slightly damaged due to rains. This shocked me. I thought, these callous people have no regard for thousands of living human beings -- the Afghans who are dying of hunger, but they are so concerned about non-living objects like the Buddha. This was extremely deplorable. That is why I ordered its destruction. Had they come for humanitarian work, I would have never ordered the Buddha's destruction

Then Taliban, said that the destruction of the statues was carried out by the Head Council of Scholars after a single Swedish monuments expert proposed to restore the statues' heads. Hashimi is reported as saying: "When the Afghani head council asked them to provide the money to feed the children instead of fixing the statues, they refused and said, 'No, the money is just for the statues, not for the children'. Herein, they made the decision to destroy the statues"; however, he did not comment on the claim that a foreign museum offered to "buy the Buddhist statues, the money from which could have been used to feed children
High achievement always takes place in the framework of high expectation.

How can they move the whole mountain?

The destruction of the Buddahs was more of a cry for help since the whole world was ignoring the plight of the Afghan nation, once the buddahs were destroyed, only then did the world turn its attention on Afghanistan.

It is very clear what Mullah Umar (hz) wanted to stress on where is the point of discussion there is nothing left.

Even if i take the prespective of a ethologist i will say it was morally and humanly completely well done good job Mullah Umar.

you fail to understand. It was not mullah omar that decided this should be done. It was the council of mullahs in Kabul that decided it was the best thing at the time.

i've read other statements saying, they supposedly did it for religeous reasons. that satement above just sounds like a blame game number. 'it is the west fault that we did it'. wasn't afghanistan already on the radar because of terrorist training camps?

                        Translation:

You have skin scancer (humanitarian problems) but your local pharmacy (UN Security Council) denies you to buy cancer medicine (UN embargo). The reason is that you sold your perscriptions the last time to a junky (giving refuge to terrorist organisations).

So, a humanitarian organisation comes to you and wants to help you with some painkiller (restoring your cultural heritage). They can´t do anything else because the pharmacy doesn´t allow it.

So, you say, if I can´t get cancer medicine, I **** on painkillers as well and I cut out that part of my body that hurts (Buddah statues).

Does anyone else see the illogical train of thoughts here, too, or am I getting insane?

                          a weak analogy......since

restoring a cultural heritage which no one identifies with does't "kill pain"

I do not think that Egyptians feel any kind of connection with the Pyramids of Gizeh.
But they don´t bomb them away.

It is part of their past and they don´t wanna get rid of it because it´s from ancient and pre-islamic times.

It is a pain killer in my mind otherwise the Islamic logic of the Taliban wouldn´t consider those statues as something to be bothered by.

it's a bit lame too, to be anti other religions but wanting their aid.

I agree, the character of the Christian and Jewish god Yahweh is very different to Allah. This is because they aren't the same deity.

You will be pleased to learn that, I have received a warning for being rude and insensitive.

Which I might add is typical Muslim hypocrisy! As if any one so much as says boo to you poor fragile little darlings, then you start crying and throwing sissy fits. Whilst crushing all dissent isn't the way to correct your innumerable shortcomings. I am sorry if I was insensitive and I apologise for reffering to Muslims as "death cultists". However lets face it their is no such thing as a so-called 'modrate Muslim', so I not inclined to be repentant.
