i have been to this durand jirga and was amazed seeing how united afghans were on this issue.

there were alot of people who attended this jirga and we also had our brothers from Pukhtunkhwa and they couldnt be more happy to see this movement.

there were speeches by mutiple speakers from all ethnicties of afghanistan to Pashtun you and even a kid girl.

the whole hall was adorned with pictures of Afghan historical figures such as Ahmad shah baba ,wazir akbar khan,Ayub Khan,ghafar khan etc.

there was a very informative lecture by an ANP representative,he pointed out that pashtuns had made their own government in pukhtunkhwa and had 48 out of 50 seats in the regional parliament,the muslim league had two seats.The british along with Jinah turned this into 48 seats for muslim league and 2 for Pukhtunkhwa party.
He also pointed out that when the referendum was held on pukhtunkhwa most of the leaders of Pukhtane were jailed upfront and when asked how are you going to have a referendum without these leaders they just found some pro- muslim league people and had it done in absence of Pukhtun leaders.He also said that they were asked if they wanted to join pakistan or India and werent given option of being part of their ancestral land afghanistan or Independent.

there was also a representative of PPP Sherpao on the phone and he also expressed his support for this event and pointed out that all Pashtuns are Afghans.

There were also many patriotic songs played and the afghan national Anthem was also played and every one stood up to listen to it.

all the costs for this event was paid by a hazara who owned this hall.

ive documented the event in form of pictures and HD video and would like to share with my fellow PFers.

the event was quite succeful and was third of its kind ,one was held in London,other in Germany and this third one in the Netherlands.

Niazi you might have a point at first part yes we could use our time and money to feed some poor family but that would not help. Treating growing disease/Cancer should be our mission not the symptoms. Your little contribution will help but u also need to understand 0.8% of Afghanistan owns 90% of the riches there is a huge gap between poor and rich some. I am in the high co operational level not in the main civil level. Billions of help and Aid has been added to Afghanistan so what? 80 of out sources are imported from pakistan so basically money has been leaving the country. Such problems as these should be solved not helping few families. So please for once think outside the box. For those who are aware of the ground, the people, government, economics and modern politics fully understand that Durand line is not our border and this issue unless resolved you will never have peace. Sure maybe for 25 or 40 years but it will hunt us back again and again which is why better for people of Pakistan and Afghanistan to think about it. I know Niazi the reality is hard to accept but you have to be open minded not close minded like other Ghalis or punjabi who gave little damn about Afghan race and their long suffering. Go back to history the people from Oxus to sindh had gone through same suFferings regardless to whom ruled the area be it mughal- shia safivad era, mongolian-ilkhanate era, suljak and shia khawarizm era, abbasid or sassanian era or for this matter as many era back and recent British, and russian both sides of Durand line suffered together.

The problem with you being 30 and same me and others even 40 years actually you count the number of years since "afghan" political conflict started it has been some 45 years and 35 years alone there was no Afghan Government at all, nothing but war even currently Karzai is just mayor of Kabul simple and clearly over dozen time Afghanistan is under occupation by the Americans just as it was by the Russians. So yes being 30 years old and not hearing about anything sold makes sense, because there is no Afghan Government that would be able to solve this issue. If there was a true Afghan Government they would of announced in regards to solving this border issue but has been not addressed so ask yourself why? Beside it makes no sense from NWFP Pakhtuns to ask for unity with Afghanistan when there is no Afghan Government LOL I hope You get my point.

Dear Niazi I don't understand, you call yourself Afghan and yet you came down to ISI's Media properganda? Where did you get that from? Brother Daud was strong back then and he was smart not as stupid as you think. Daud knew he had ground support, how stupid would he be to attack his own people the Pakhtuns?? Specially if he was a prime minister of Afghanistan. He ordered this invasion simply by the support of all of those tribes you mentioned and yet you are saying they were against him???? Doesn't make sense. Beside if you want to know why Daud Khan stopped and pulled himself out of Pakhtunikhwa then please let me know I will tell you one of many reasons why.

That sentence above does not fit with what my grandfathers were saying indeed you also know that our parents would not lie to us. Later as years passed, in some occasion specially in the Communist era yes Pakhtun muslim tribes did go against Afghan Communist Government when they were entering Bajawar etc looking for "Hashrar" but in the 60s government was not communist. So why would any of that would happen in 1960s?

Please don't ever believe in ISI's BS Pashtu published newspaper from Peshawar specially from 1980s and 1990s cause they really spread enough and BS for us to clean up. Pakistan will say anything and do anything to claim our land as their own even if it means to sell blood of 1 million soldiers I am sure Pakisan is only thinking land and money as always they don't want their Kafiri created nation break down once more. By all means they did everything to make Pashtunistan as their own even bought Taliban to sign of Durand line in 1999 otherwise they would not support Taliban any more if they declined and it happen in 2000 Pakistan officially stopped supporting politically weak Taliban. Despite all their efforts of ISI, Pakistan failed in Afgana and USA's invasion and intervention as well as current situation inside afgana is all aiming in making sure Pakistan gets their bone as it was donated by the British in 1946.

Indeed education, economical build up as well nation development can only take place when you have peace and control of your internal, external as well control of your border. When you have no border lol what means of having a country when half of your nation is still under occupation and pressure which again gets back at targeting your national soldiatary and patriotism? If not today 10 years from now, and if Afghan Government goes against well of their majority's wish lol then again you have internal problem and break down. If afghan Government keeps the way fake borders are then again you have both internal problem external influnce from neighbours.
As I always say why should any neighbour worry about another neighbour when they both have their fence in their lawful land.
However if you are a weak neighbour and the fence of your strong "enemy" neighbour is on your side of the land lol you always wish you get stronger to get it back, right? after all your kids want their former play yard back so that they can play. And you know that strong neighbour (Pakistan) of yours who have been Pumped by your former enemy accross the street (British/west) who is also the mayor of the city. However the strong neighbour of you is indeed either need of your land for many reasons maybe it grow plants better or have a great position whatever either for sack of shame or for the economical means is holding to your land so that it does not break away from them. Brother what makes you think we have communication problem? You mentioned mahmand and Bajur tribes fighting against Afghan before pakistani military gets there. Lol how long would it get for them to get there when the biggest military base is stationed in Peshawar? that is just lame man. I only tried to take off ISI off from your head.I provided facts that what u said was opposite, If you still believe IsI and that pashtuns are so stupid to fall for Pakistan and fight against Afghans, then I am sorry I can't help you. I wish we had a similar conference on how to fight foreign occupation, how to secure Afghanistan's future from the West, how to provide education materials to our children back home, or any other development discussions regarding Afghanistan which sounds more realistic. Until and unless we don't have support and input of Pukhtoons from Pakistan in this regard, all this will lead to absolutely nowhere! Nonetheless, there is nothing in a gathering consisting of Pukhtoons from both sides and of course all ethnics of Afghanistan. I am waiting for the pictures and videos, Graveyarda.
