I think Da Kunar Ghro had summerized almost everything since Paktika was created newly and much of its culture, history, customs etc is shared with other provinces I would see if I can find some facts for you.
Paktika is the home of the great Ghiljay Kochi tribes. It is one of the last parts of the Pashtun land which is still as authentic and pure as it suppose to be.
Marwats history is from Paktika so its very interesting to know about this place. For those of you who don't know, it is said that Bibi Mato and Shah Hussain had sons....the famous ones were Ghilzai and the other Ibrahim Lodhi...
uqi, since you from paktia/paktika, is your dialect similar to wazirola. i know many wazir pashtuns in dubai, their pashto is full of unfamiliar words.
Can someone share what they know about the history of Paktika province? Information about its people/tribes/culture will be appreciated
A you interested only in history? I have a paper "Paktika Personalities. An Examination of the Tribes and the Significant People of a Traditional Pashtun Province" 3,1 MB. Let me know if you want it.

Ok, will try to copy here the part about tribes in Paktika.
Explaination of Document
Please note that Paktika Province has 23 Districts, 19 official and 4 unofficial. The people
listed here are from Paktika Province and are listed in the district in which they live.
Most Directors of Ministries, District Commissioners and Chiefs of Police are listed
separately as they are usually appointed from outside the district or outside the Province
and they tend to rotate out of their jobs quickly. What has been attempted here is to
catalog people of some significance in each district, people who actually reside in the
district and have tribal, family, cultural, business, land, or religious ties to the district.
This information was obtained and this document produced by the PRT Sharana
Department of State Officer one interview at a time in the districts of Paktika over a
period of 17 months from January 2006 to May 2007.
Tribal note: Of the three big Pashtun tribes in Afghanistan, the Ghanjai, the Durrani, and
the Kurlani, only the Ghanjai and Kurlani are represented in Paktika Province. Of these
two tribes the main sub-tribes represented in Paktika are the Sulimankhel, Andar, and
Kharoti from the Ghanjai, and the Zadran and Waziri from the Kurlani. There is one
significant non- Pashtun tribe represented in Paktika, the Orguni a Tajik tribe located
only in Orgun district. There are also a relatively small number of Kuchis (Nomads) in
Paktika. Most of these are Sulimanzai tribe and are not related to the other tribes in the
region.
Administrative note: Mullahs are Islamic religious leaders normally at the village level.
Mawlawis are more senior Islamic religious leaders with more knowledge of Islam. They
are often working in or running Madrassahs. Ulama are a grouping of religious scholars
or Mawlawis. The word Ulama is defined as a group of knowledgeable people, in the
context of this document they are the most knowledgeable religious people in the district.
The spelling of Mawlawi and Ulama are standardized and taken from the standard usage
of these terms in Barnett R. Rubin’s book, The Fragmentation of Afghanistan. Dates of
birth in this document are as accurate as possible. However, most Afghans in Paktika do
not have any record of their birth. Therefore, actual dates of birth are often impossible to
obtain and often the year of birth is an estimate that may vary as much as two to three
years.
